And don't give me this shit about heli's being easy to take down. I have pour thousands of rounds into them and never go down. We can get them down occasionally with rockets but most of the time they have the run of the map. It's bullshit.

Maybe the servers I play on are just awful. It was the Vag server last night, what a waste of time.

This really sounds like your teams fault, I have never seen a helicopter that was impervious to dying except when people forget to shoot at them. I don't understand why people get mad that a helicopter is spawn killing them, and then continue to spawn as medic.

Seriously, it takes one rocket to kill a chopper; I would think that with an entire team of people supposedly being spawn camped that they would start switching to engineer. Maybe this was like a 4v4 or something? That is the only time where I can imagine a chopper being able to fire fast enough to kill everyone that was spawning before any of those people had a chance to really do anything to the helicopter. Even then, with 4 people spawning, they ARE going to get shots off at the chopper. I mean, spawn engineer->press 3->point at chopper->click.

Sidenote: The conquest maps with helicopters on them are littered with AA emplacements. ;)

Just because someone does something you didn't know how to do, don't have the skill to do, or never thought of, doesn't mean they cheat.

He also could have fired from the hip and gotten a decently lucky no-scope. Those rifles aren't entirely inaccurate when hip fired.
 
Moving backwards and shooting is easier than running forwards and shooting. ;) And its not BS, I've started to do it quite a bit.
 
I just dont trust PC users. you can never tell who is cheating or playing Fair. Ok fine you say it can be done then ill go by your word.

No your right I dont have the Skill on PC. I am coming from Consoles wich im so used to its actually easier for me to play on a Console then a PC at this point.
 
Uh there are still plenty of cheats on consoles. Maybe not the % of PC but there is no escaping the lamers.

I'm not going to keep going on about this. Yes, obviously it was a partial team fault. But when I try to spawn as engineer, turn around, find the chopper, aim and then die before I can shoot - wtf else am I supposed to do?

I tried running, hiding, moving as I shot. He was just making it rain all over that section of the dock and town. And you couldn't spawn further up because people were just dying. So everyone was spawning in the same area.

Sidenote: Yeah try getting up on that gun without dying in 2 seconds from either other ground troops, snipers or heli's.

Here's my main point about this. It is a game breaking issue, plain and simple. But I'm obviously not painting a good enough picture as to what was happening.

I don't know who you are trying to fool, but this game is full of pos hackers. That was the main reason that everyone in my clan stopped playing it. If you don't believe me just do a search on you tube and you can see for yourself.

Do youtube videos prove that all the people you encountered were "pos hackers" or that all the people who uploaded videos of themselves/others hacking were "pos hackers"?

really.. ok well over 100 hours of game play and I've seen maybe 4 hackers which 2 of those happen to be the same exact person using a duplicate account (easy give away was his game play style by just running down the middle of the map head shooting everyone). anytime i see them i just leave the server and go some where else. not really that big of a deal. that or i have fun try to kill them. which is usually pretty easy if your squad works together. have 1 guy be the decoy and just ambush the bastard. kill em enough times they leave because they cant handle the fact that they suck ass at cheating on an already easy game.

i get sick of the "omg your a hacker" bullshit every time some one happens to kill them. hell earlier today i got called a hacker because i was owning the shit out of people through a bunch of tree's. my team was spotting every person they saw and i was just shooting at the red triangles from the across the map. funny as hell because they could never figure out where i was or how i was killing them.

I've seen maybe 2 legitimate hackers in like 150 hours of gameplay.

One guy was standing in the middle of a map spinning around headshotting everyone on our team... The other time the guy was across the map with an LMG and headshotting everyone on our team as fast as we could spawn... might have been the same guy. But I've seen people go 100/10 something on a legitimate game of Arica Harbor as attackers, they were just mowing down people with the old M60... but they weren't hacking. The other team was just terrible and kept rushing towards us (when they were defending) so we just kinda sat around and picked them apart until we took the MCOM's. It was a REALLY long match.

Either way, it was the only time I can say I've seen a hacker. Everyone else just got lucky / was a good player. I've pulled off some ridiculous shots and had some moments where I was 100% sure I was going to die, but manage to survive and kill 3-4 people with no health and little ammo. So when someone does it to me I can see that they weren't hacking, they just got lucky.
 
Just met my third or fourth hacker in about 180 hours of gameplay. Hardcore server, spawning at the RUS uncap of Laguna Alta and headshotting two or three people with one 9A-91 magazine within two seconds. Kind of hard to argue that he wasn't cheating, but he still ended up dying more. Some of them are just horrible even with cheats.

Seems he got banned before already and only changed one letter of his name. Guess I'm not just being one of those people that bleats for no reason.

I really think the hacker problem is waaaay overblown in this thread. I've put in probably 100 hours (~lvl 33?) and I can't think of a single time I've actually seen someone hack.

I've met a handful of dirtygood players that rarely miss and have excellent situational awareness and knowledge of the map that regularly go 40/5 as non-recon classes. It's not uncommon for someone to label them as a hacker, but, when against them I'll take them down enough to know they're just very good.

I consider myself above average but not anything crazy and I've been called a hacker enough times to think that some people just bitch when they die too many times without knowing where the shots are even coming from.
 
Almost 350 hours in, seen maybe 5 actual hackers.

I've been banned for hacking more times than I have seen actual hackers.

This. I've got about 355 hours in and have only seen a handful of hackers. Have been banned from several servers though, as well as a few friends that I play with for "hacking" :p
 
A few guys I see are notorious for base raping in a server that spams "No base raping", god damn annoying as hell.

I've been on a server where some airwhore was doing that on that same map. With the new patch they shortened the smoke reload time so if you do hit him with a tracer, chances are he'll deploy smoke then you have to try and tag him again. No small feat sometimes if the guy knows what he's doing. You reload tracer and land another one on him and he just deploys smoke again.

Well, I've got a lot more playtime (over 600 I think) and IT IS an issue. The 5 you've seen must have been pretty blatent about it judging from your comments. Not all hackers are dumb enough to use them in such a way as to be blatent.
 
If they're good enough to appear like really skilled players, then I really don't care that they're hacking. Mainly because it's not ruining the game experience and they'll get banned eventually.

And don't use tracers... it's easy enough to shoot down heli's with the Gustav, they'll have no idea what hit them.
 
Just picked this up, having fun, well as much fun as I can on my current PC, Sandy Bridge rebuild in a couple months, can't wait!

That doesn't make sense. Because without cheating they wouldn't be or seem to be skilled players. I don't see how you can't understand that affecting gameplay.

If they're so good at hiding the fact that they're hacking... then it's not really hacking...

The only thing that pisses me off about hackers is when they ruin the game for others. If they suck at the game and use hacks to make themselves look good, that doesn't really bug me. If they use hacks and ruin the game for everyone else... like standing on a hill and killing everyone as soon as they spawn... then yea that's the only thing that would piss me off...
 
Just uninstalled the fucking thing. It is completely unworkable on my connection.

There have to be issues specific to the game. I don't have anywhere near the same trouble on other games like COD4 and CODWAW.

There are AUS servers for all games. I've seen a fair few. Why not just search for AUS in the search bar?

the way you jusitfy and even defend hackers makes me think your one of them, like countless others that say hacks dont even exsist when 5 seconds on google says otherwise.

what is it some sort of honor among thieves that you all agree too?

No-one has said the hacks don't even exist, or that it's not possible to hack. Just because YOU see hackers everywhere doesn't mean they're actually there.

if they aren't blatantly using it then i don't care. as long as its not killing the enjoyment of the game. i play the game to have fun. its the douche bags that blatantly use the hacks to ruin the game for their own enjoyment that piss me the hell off.
 
Anyone know what the dogtags mean? Like, I got some that are double tags, some single tags, and then there's the gold, silver, or bronze tags.

It might not be "hacking" but it definitely is cheating. They're bringing their ability to another level through immoral means. How does that not bother you? Lets say you go toe to toe with one guy. You both start firing but because he hacking he is able to kill you first. But because it's not blatant you don't know.

But if he wasn't hacking you would have killed him. How could that NOT bother you?

Im gonna go with he feels probably the same way i do.

After playing FPS's (namely counter-strike) for years and years, professionaly and non-professionally, you are going to run into two types of cheaters. the blatant, and the non blatant.

When you run into blatant hackers, you just leave. theres no point in whining at them/trying to kill them, you just leave. they want you to react because theyre trolling.

Now the non-blatant hackers. These are fairly common. Even though they might do a good job hiding it to less-experienced players, most professional players (doesnt really matter what fps they played) can tell, almost immediately if theyre bullshit. These people are ashamed of their hacks and will never, NEVER admit to it until theyre either vac/pb banned, or have enough evidence against them that there is nothing they can do. Nobody here is 'defending' them, we just dont give a shit. They're killable, and theyre not ruining or hindering my playstyle/score/games progression any more than a legit pro.The employee example you used is stupid. I'd just get him fired and open a lawsuit. I cant do that in the game.

If at any time i do start to get pissed off, ill just join another server, this escapes most peoples minds. If you arnt having fun, exit the game/change servers. Its rather simple, assholes are going to cheat, and theres nothing you can do about it, so either play and have fun, or uninstall.
