Anyone? I know its not out yet... but IGN gave it a 9.0/10, along with some positive words which really is refreshing for the NFS franchise.

you can talk about your day, what you fed to your dog, the color of its stool the last time it went.

Cant speak on it since EA felt it wasnt worth the effort to give the PC a demo..

wait wut they have to reuse game titles? lol did we just travel back in time to 1988?

Nah, Hot Pursuit was about 1998'ish. I remember thinking the C5 corvette sucked for that game, and had a man crush on the Lister Storm. Good times!

Its been so long since I bought a NFS title now.

A buddy of mine told me about this game recently, he was pretty excited over it and wanted me to check it out too.

I might get this if it turns out to be good. Not good in ratings, but good as in getting positive feedback from the people who plays it after its released :p

i was thinking about ordering it since amazon has the $20 credit for it, first i was going to try it on PS3 though so i download it and it says the damn demo has expired. whats the point of that ? and it's the kind of game i won't buy unless i try the demo first.

I was going to buy a whole wheel/pedal setup for GT5 and thought this would be a good game to warm up on. The last few NFS games I played were really disappointing despite the good press they received, but I've always liked the Hot Pursuit line.

I will be surprised if this game does a wheel justice. I have always found the 360 controller easier to deal with NFS/Burnout/etc games than my g25.

I've been keeping an eye on it. It looks absolutely fucking terrible. Twelve-year-old boys will love playing it on their X360s, however.

The best NFS PC game is still Porsche Unleashed!

And the original NFS Hot Pursuit.

I pre-ordered but I have a feeling its going to turn out to be junk like that last couple. Bring back drivable police cars is what cought my attention.

Did the original Hot Pursuit or any of the other NFS games have a dashboard view?

The only NFS game I have seen with a dashboard view was Porsche Unleashed, every other one I have seen has the outside camera only.

It is a lot more work for the devs to include a dashboard view. Every car in the game has to have the interior accurately modeled, and show the drivers arms and hands steering and shifting the car. Much faster and easier to skip it and go with outside views only.

Yes. In fact, the first 5 games of the NFS franchise had in-dash view.

I really wish this was out on Steam like the other NFS titles...perhaps it'll be out at some point. I'd really like to pick this up but would prefer it to be through Steam - with so many good games coming down the pike, I can afford to wait and see.

Got mine this afternoon but wont be able to play it until tonight probably :(

Didn't NFS have a Hot Pursuit like 10 years ago?

Also, does it support Eyefinity?

Downloading from D2D right now. The wifi sucks ass where I live. It should've been done by now. I probably won't get a chance until tomorrow morning. I also need to dig my steering wheel out of storage.

I did a couple races and so far I'm liking it, though I wish I had a wheel or something cause keyboard is a little hard :p I'm glad they brough back drivable police cars, I missed using them from the orginial games.

I had high hopes as well, but to me no demo just screams "no good".

It had a PS3 and 360 demo.

It's also developed by Criterion (of Burnout fame), so there's really nothing to worry about.

No. A cockpit view would not suit this type of game. They are better suited to motorsports simulations.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

He's saying F - U

And deservedly so for anybody who says we don't need cockpits in games. I play games for immersion and to feel I am inside a car, not to have a fake looking clear view with floating HUD like my brain is plugged into a camera with digital readouts from the future or something.

Man, the graphics in this game are awesome!

Only time I've ever found cockpit view compelling is when I had three monitors. Outside of that it doesn't some anywhere close to the feeling of being inside of a car, even on an Eyefinity setup it was only a little better.

There will be 12 year olds playing Hot Pursuit that never even existed when the original Hot Pursuit came out. How messed is that?

I've been playing it on the PC. It's NFS with a touch of Burnout added. It's good fun. The police chases are excellent and probably the best part of the game.

yep, impressive attention to detail, sounds, interiors, even the turn lights. It went downhill since then, I'd love to see a Ferrari Unleashed

the car mods for NFS3 were awesome though :D
