I do have some Google sketchups, but they aren't up-to-date anymore.

Found a piece of window film/foil @ work and just had to try it

-When the Leds are off, the desk should be normal black

-When the Leds are on everything should be visible.

I know this is the wrong foil, but it was only to test how it looks.
In 3 days im getting some foil samples from a friend to test further.

And bought some blocks from a friend, im totally in love with plexi now

Yes im temporary switching them with some old ccfl switches, but some bulgin stitches are ordered.
I can turn em all off, but to be honest i works great with the light on, it isn't annoying at all.

I have very similar drawings, but I was going to go with a submerged in non-conductive oil rig. The issue I have, of course, is weight.

Depends on how you mount it, i think this desk can hold 150Kg easily

That is a beautiful piece of workmanship. Only thing I would consider changing is the glass cover for the top of the desk. Maybe one of those charged glass (smart glass) panels that you can switch between having it clear and than turn opaque.

Till here i worked on it for 2 weeks from 0900 till 0200, my friend also put in 25 hours.
So around 200 hours the first 2 weeks.
After that i lost count

You should sell that table prefabbed for rich, PC crazy people... someone on here bought a similar steel desk I saw for $800 shipped. It was not even as half as elaborate as yours., just a basic stainless steel L shaped desk.

I bet you could make a few more of those -- and a website and make a killing

The window foil idea isn't working out very well yet.
And a real B#$@ to get the glue off the glass afterwards

Bought some second hand BP fittings from a friend, so i don't come short when building in the extra pump, mosfet blocks and hdd in the loop.
Also cleaned up my own leftovers.

How are the vibrations, or did you control them with rubber gromets? What about the noise level?

With the desk elevated closer to ear level then a typical computer case on the floor, I would be worried about noise level. Also, with it being used as a desk, vibrations could get annoying unless controlled. I would think about dynamat, or some sound deadening material coating the inside to help both issues, since the main cooling is located away from the desk.

Desk looks great though.

Almost completely silent, and no vibrations, guess its cause of the 3mm thick Alu
Its also isolated cause the 7mm thick glass is on rubbertape.
