I'm really impressed with my H70. I bought it at Fry's last week alongside a HAF 922 case and a 2TB refurb HDD. Temps are really stable, I've not seen it even approach 70 degrees C under 100% Prime95 load.
got mine today. really easy install, on a socket 1366 board. dropped my idle temps by 7C over a true black with high speed fan. i was not expecting this, i recently put my stuff into a lanboy air and the true touched the top of the case. i guess it did more than touch, and was slightly cocked. anyway, the "cpu" temp from eleet 1.08 (the sensor under the socket?) is now 27c at idle, used to be 36c. after 30 or 40 min of prime on all cores, highest temp is around 75c, with a vcore of 1.40v. much better than the true black i have been using. more quiet, too.(swapped out fans). i, also, am really impressed. this is my first corsair product in over 12 years of building my own machines.
Also, I will replace the stock compound with a fresh layer of Shin-Etsu X23-7783D.
Anyway, ambient temps here are about 68*F (20*C). BIOS hardware monitor indicated 19c CPU temp
not sure why its really call water cooler, you do not need water to run this cooler Call it water free radiator H70
If you have good airflow to the fans, why would you need to install them blowing in? I'd like to see what the difference is with the fans exhausting normally pulling from the case. I'd like to have one of these, good review.
Contemplating buying one of these... but.....
I'm just trying to work out where the hell I would mount this thing. No chance in hell I am having it replace the rear exhaust to suck air INTO the case, asking for trouble. Only when summer comes around alot of people will realise this.
Say, on the HAF X for example, where would you mount it? The ceiling?

Nice review. I love my H50 and I changed the stock fans and converted it in to a pull/push setup. Both fan run aroung 1800rpm (rated as 2k). I have to say I get similar numbers like the H70. Now one thing that is to my advabtage is my office is in the basement and it tends to be much cooler than the rest of the house.
I had a H50 and i could not see the Difference in the h70 and the h50
