Hey guys, I promised a full review and it will come. I need to use it consistently for some time before I can give a no BS assessment.
In the meantime, let me list the Pros and Cons.
Please keep in mind that this is just a very rough initial list and may change soon. Remember, I just received the monitors an hour ago.

Well that's about it for now people. I will be using these monitors day and night for mostly designing, programming and occasional gaming. As soon as I have a good understanding of the "real world" differences between the U3011 and 3008wfp (and also the XHD3000), I will write up a full review. The review will be a comparison of XHD3000 vs 3008WFP, 3008WFP vs 3008WFP and finally U3011 vs 3008WFP.
No ETA yet, but hopefully will be soon.

Pros:
- Since I ordered 2 of each for 3008wfp and U3011 it helps me compare the same model as well. Both of U3011s look fairly identical to each other in terms of factory calibrated color, gamma and luminosity. In contrast, my 2 3008wfps were drastically different to each other. There was a deviation of 15 (osd menu) in brightness to make them even.
- The monitor, out of the box, is definitely now usable for most people without calibration. Unless you're into color critical work, there shouldn't be much need for a re-calibration.
- OSD is definitely leaps and bounds better than the one on 3008wfp. The touch sensitive buttons are very easy to use and react well to your fingers.
- The Brightness and contrast settings are NOT global. Which is AWESOME. I like to have different brightness/contrast settings per each device (a la XHD3000), which the 3008wfp lacked. I'm so glad that this was changed.
- Input lag is very subjective and can vary greatly between each user. I am very anal about everything, that's just my personality. I have a tendency to point out any little flaw in something. But at the same time I've never really noticed much input lag even on the 3008wfp unless I'm running some odd resolution. Native and up-scaled 1920x1200 PC gaming was never a problem, as well as PS3/XBOX games. This holds true for the U3011. It actually even seems a bit better. This is something I will have to test a bit further to be more definite.
- Input switching is definitely a lot faster. As cnet's review said, the other inputs to your computer input is a bit slower maybe due to a windows delay. But switching from PC -> HDMI and HDMI->HDMI is a lot faster. Also, the delay when turning off the secondary monitor on a dual monitor setup improved dramatically as well.
- There's minimal backlight bleeding. Which is pretty surprising due to the monitor's size. BUT, due to the first of the "cons" (refer below), when you press on the top corners of the panel, the backlight shifts a bit due to the movement of the panel.
Cons:
- Poor manufacturing quality control. The panel is still loose within the housing. The odd thing is that both of my 3008wfp had this issue as well and they were both REV A06! To think that Dell would not fix this after such a long time doesn't make sense to me. Either way, both of the u3011s are experiencing the same issue where the top parts of the panels give in a bit when you push. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g-OgjEuRYg <- This is not my video)
- The stand is a step down. For some reason the monitor is much more wobbly on this stand compared to the 3008wfp's.
- Sorry guys, no PIP. Sucks because picture-by-picture is useless in my opinion.
- The AG coating seems about the same as 3008wfp. AG coating has never really bothered me too much, unless I'm staring at a totally white background.It may be a bit better, but you won't really be able to tell the difference. It's still a bit "twinkly" more or less depending on the viewer.
- NEEDS A REMOTE!
