I remember reading about this was going to be released back in 2009 but never heard anything about it actually being available. I was browsing around Newegg like always and found it.

Other than the articles saying it was coming out around the end of 09, Id never heard of it. Did I just miss this coming out? I looked on AMD's website and they dont list it anywhere I could find and I cant find any reviews on it when I Googled it.

I know its no big deal especially with X2 555's going for under $100 and almost all of them getting stable unlocks but still, for $88 this is a pretty good price on a C3 proc for us budget gamers. Just thought it kinda weird how it just popped up unannounced like that.
 
It is a good deal on an X3.... and it's a C2 revision CPU, not a C3....

funny you say this, a friend just asked me today if its a good deal, my response was "Theres a 740 ? ".....i didnt know it came out either.....needless to say i think he is going to be picking it up
 
Damn, that's a better deal than the Phenom II X2 555. If I didn't already have a triple-core, I'd pick that up. I'm looking to upgrade to a hexacore though.
 
Oh that sucks. I thought it was C3. Still a pretty solid deal though but Id rather have a 555 for that price. Ive seen way too many 4 GHz overclocks on those things to not want one.
 
Looks like a nice little CPU for $88. I wish the X6 1075T's would arrive in the US.
