I remember my uncle had them lying around and gave them to me. They collected dust until today when I was cleaning. I would just need to buy a fan that fit the mobo.
Chips:
AMD Athlon 64 5200+ ADA5200IAA6CS CCBYF 0620MPMW
http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desktop/details.aspx?opn=ADA5200IAA6CS
and
AD04600IAA5CU LDB5F 0633RPMW
like this one(?) http://products.amd.com/en-us/DesktopCPUDetail.aspx?id=52 but this one ends in CZ
Mobo:
hp mcp61pm-hm 5188-7686 iris-gl6
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...c=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN#N1240
So the mobo says:
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades: *
Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology up to 4800+ (up to 65 watt)
* Athlon 64 up to 3800+
* Sempron - All
So does this mean the 5200+ wouldn't work and the best would be the 4600+?
Would it be worth it over my intel build (or best to test overclocking the intel)?
Thanks.
