You guys have seen Galaxy's dual 470 card and gotten excited about it, but I wanted to let you know not to expect it anytime soon.

It was DEMO ONLY card with no production in current consideration. In fact, NVIDIA is actually blocking the card from being made as it is not supplying all the software code for the chipsets to communicate between each other on a single board.

:(

You will still have to pay fore heating oil this winter, sorry.

;)

I really dislike NVIDIA as a company right now, although their removing the PhysX block on systems using ATI GPUs was good. Sigh.

That is a shame, though can't see where it'd fit in the market anyway.
Roll on the GTX460

All I could think of was wood screws... definitely would've been a surprise if this had come out. Props to galaxy if they actually got it running with air cooling and also for the willingness to try and innovate.

I thought Palit went out of business in the US, due to economic downturn and a stupid frog.

HEY! I liked that frog.

(Actually, he was a nice alternative to Sapphire's dreadlocked girls)

In all seriousness, between Palit and Zotac, I knew that one of them was considered crappy but I could never remember which one. This thread has helped me in that regard. I'll just remember that froggie = bad (now if I can only remember that Palit is the one with the frog, lol). I guess I'll just have to remember that "Palit" is "unpalatable." ;)
