I have a 200 foot shielded Cat5e cable that I have ran through the ceiling of my warehouse. I installed connectors on each in with the same pin outs, this is just a straight through connection going to a hub. However when I use my proscanner cable tester pins 3456 flash and I get a message about "split pairs". How is this happening when the pins are exactly the same on each end?

Thanks!

I'd cut the ends off...and redo it. Stare at things closer this time when going through the crimping. Also if you got some kinks in the cable....or if you untwisted the pairs back too far, the testers that can test for splits pairs can spit up that error.

Correct. If this doesn't work for you, see if you can get your hands on a TDR (Time-domain Reflectometer). Any decent data cabling guy should have one. It'll give you a much better idea of what's wrong with your cable. It can tell you if there is a kink/bend that has damaged the cable, and how far down the cable it is. Which pairs are affected etc.
