[PROJECT] "The blank.box"

I would probably have used JB Weld or something similar, but I hope it holds for you under tension from the mounting screws. Nice approach for problem solving!

That's a unique method to extend the block, but I would think about soldering the two pieces of copper rather than using epoxy.

Not trying to be overly critical, but why couldn't you source a small piece of copper (and save money) rather than purchasing the extra block and destroying it?

very nice work getting the Motherboard blocks to work for you instead of against you. Look forward to seeing more progress on this unique build. Sorta like a "poor mans MM case" lol

I considered welding or something, but don't have access to any sort of welder really...
The opoxy stuff is holding really really strong though, I have no doubts it'll work fine. :)
Thanks for the comments guys!
BTW, Wahoomcdaniel, I paid about $20 for the two mosfets. :)

Thank you! Ahahah... well I see MM cases as the "lazy mans case". True modders do it themselves. ahhhaha ;)

4-23-10, testing out the tubes!

Alrighty, this is the part where things really get fun. TUBE ROUTING!!!
I've decided I want to have the CPU in its own loop, and the Chipset + GPU in another.

For this update I'd like to again thank Bitspower for sending me these incredible fittings! I don't think I've ever had more fun setting up a watercooled build because of the infinite number of possibilities you can have with the different angled fittings!
Thank you Bitspower!!

So I think I've come up with the best way to route all the tubing (set it up on the tech bench first). Check it check it check it!!

I think I stared at the mosfet and NB for an hour before I came up with a way to connect the two. xD

Heatkiller GPU block is a flippin BEAST!!

Next I put tried it out in the case...

Now we're getting somewhere folks...

Still working on the CPU routing... any ideas?

Frontal view. (I'm thinking of adding a SB block...)

The other side of the case is pretty uneventful so far... we'll see how it goes!
(Like how I mounted the HD's? ;))

So thats it for now. I'm waiting for my order from Sidewinders, which should come next week.
Now I'm pondering how to route all the tubing between the four radiators... Hmmmmmm....
Idea's?

Sweet liquid cooling set up. never seen one with metal tubing. Since you took the time to to do this I was sitting here wondering why you did not take the time to paint the case or to spend a bit extra and get illuminated fans?

Oh its not metal its clear... My eyes must be going at the tipe age of 29. Are you going to use
UV reactive cooling and black case lights?

Ok, that is just nuts how you shaved off the rounded bumps from that block. It really looks OEM...actually, the black and copper look better because I prefer your finishing process over the original.

I'm absolutely amazed. I've seen lots of custom work over the years on here and in CPU magazine, and custom wooden cases are cool and all, but you're modifying well beyond something like that. Big picture stuff I get bored with, like an amazing case mod. I'm not yet an engineer, but custom cases are too artistic and flashy and I find that boring given what the project is for--a computer. You're focusing on functionality with some "holy crap, he did that?!" style, minus the obnoxious, loud muffler and huge wing bolted onto an artsy modded case with lots of flashy lighting, a la fast and the furious...I can't stand all those lame LEDs in computers. Your attention to detail on the water blocks is nothing short of badass, and from what I can see on the other side, I'm excited to see what you post next.

I'm going to paint the case dont worry!! That comes after all the cutting is done :p

I am truly flattered! Thanks for the kind words sir!
Its just a hobby to me. But to hear other people really like my work keeps me on task!!
