Thanks, I have been pretty happy with it as well - I really liked the built in desk at my old house, but this new setup in my new home doesn't have me missing much.

LOL, a majority of the fun stuff is in the utility room just off of my room.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Desktop case is a Ubuntu Server running iptables as the firewall
Silver Lian Li Tower is a FreeNAS server with 6TB?
Black Lian Li Tower is running VMWare ESXi with legit copies of Server 2008, Server 2003, Ubuntu Server 9.10, Windows XP and Windows 7

Also in there is a 24 port switch, a couple WAP's, Cisco 2600 router, Cisco ASA for VPN tunnel to the office with VOIP etc, 5 Port Linksys switch and Cable modem.
The racks in my room contain Amateur Radios, home built antenna patches, amplifiers, 12v power supplies, 3 100 Ah batteris, an XP box for bring everything back online after power work etc and an area to work on clients machines.

I wanna be you when I grow up.

I saw a post within the last month, someone building a desk or entertainment center stand using 1-2" diameter round metal black pre-fabbed legs, wood top surface painted black, etc.

[Edit: never mind found it 1504275]

yep, if you knew how long I've been looking for that perfect lamp. Kind of been an obsession of mine lately. every store I visit. I look at the lamp section . with no luck so far. but that one looks like the one.

why do people keep deleting y comments for? and does anyone know how many graphics cards and what type of graphics cards i need in order to install 6 monitors on one compute

Maybe because you're posting off-topic stuff in here?
You're asking questions in the wrong thread, this thread is for showing off workstations, and getting/giving comments on said workstation setups.

aah kool, thanx for telling me man

Curious to know if that pic was straight out of the camera or did you do some post processing and if so, if you don't mind sharing, what did you do?

It's one of flckr's features. You are able to place comments are portions of a photo.

Not mine! lol

I just noticed it randomly surfing and had to post it. I hope this isn't someone on this forum :D

There's an N64 DD in there!

Just moved computer onto my desk again. it was picking up too much dust on the floor. Changed to crappier speakers mostly to reduce the amount of wire clutter that came with my previous pair. Not a big deal as I use my headphones more often.

Thanks but I wasn't asking about how to add the comments to the picture. I meant the actual picture itself and the way it looks. Thanks though.

Here is my workstation - I am fixing to update it but I needed to spend money on upgrades for my desktop (which I should have replaced a long time ago) - Anyhow, here it is:
