LMK if you want to sell that 2709, lol, need one more for my Eyefinity setup. Damn outlet has been out of stock forever.

Awesome setups! Those pics have me very jealous and pondering expensive things for my next build. :D

I am curious though if anyone else has encountered the motion sickness effect that tboo mentioned earlier in the thread? I don't normally get that, but I've never seen a setup like this live so I'm not sure what it feels like.

Found the mount for less :D

www.softmart.com Use coupon code g5winter10 if you don't get the 5 dollar shipping automatically.

Non silly online tax states (screw you california) save 21 bucks more. 5 dollar shipping is a promotion, not sure how long it is good for. Only a few whole sets left according to their inventory, you have to search/add each item individually, exact same part numbers as the ergodirect builder added to my cart.

All the parts prices have skyrocketed. $57.50 for the base, $47.50 for the pole. $247.50 for the KTA325B.

total width of center screen and one side screen cannot exceed 50".

3008wfp is 27" wide, so it would be tough to use the KTA325 with 3x30s... unless you overlapped screens slightly

I haven't. but Ive heard of others that have had that experience. I think it has to do with the person. and what FOV the games uses . some people have adjusted the FOV and it helped reduce that affect.

FYI, I went back to a single monitor: A Dell 3008WFP. I couldnt handle the motion sickness anymore.

I was reading that the early version of the Dell 27" had a serious lag issue. Did anyone run into that problem? Supposedly the second revision fixed the problem.

I was reading the 2711 had a serious lag issue for games, but everything else was amazing. The cnet au review said game mode on the u2711 had no effect on the lag, but on the u2410 showed huge signs of improvement.

Thinking of purchasing a Chief dual-24 mount, would you recommend getting a desk mount, a desk grommet, a free base, or wall mounting?

Leaning towards a stand or desk clamp.

I went with the Chief with the base stand. No fuss no muss. Thing weighs like 17 pounds by itself. I do not recommend putting the rubber feet on it, if you ever intend on adjusting it once you set it down. Monitor stand, and 3 24" monitors is alot of weight, and no easy lift points (for me at least).

I am extremely disappointed with softmart. I put in a order for the Chief mount and stand in Feb 27, waited a few weeks without any news. Emailed them twice without reply. Now they cancelled my order without my knowledge !!!

Does anybody know where I can get the mount cheaper now?

I'd jump on that, but I live in SW Ohio :(

I waited about 3 days and then called them. It turns out they are kinda more like a CDW, set up to handle corporate accounts. Once I called, I was assigned an account manager who personally pushed everything through and kept me up to date on what was going on. Even offered to upgrade my shipping for free since it had taken a few extra days.

I have 3 x 22" monitors. I've been on the hunt for a good stand for awhile.

I want to mount 3x23" displays. Is this stand too big for that? Is there a slightly smaller stand for 24" displays? The Ergotron I looked at will only accept 22" displays with a max width of 20". My 23" monitors are about 22" wide, so the Ergotron won't fit them. :(

Yes this stand will have no problem fitting 23" monitors .

Well aren't these supposed to be designed for 27" monitors though? Will the 23s look too small on them? IE will the bezels end up too far apart?

No they are not designed for 27" actually they advertise 25" but they are completely adjustable. As long as the width of 2 screens side by side does not exceed 50" your good to go

I have 3 U2410's and this Chief rack. The left monitor, I cannot get flush no matter what I do. The front and right monitor are great, the left monitor is a full 3/4" lower and I can't adjust it higher. What could be wrong? :(

I was on the fence about getting Eyefinity and a couple more 25.5 monitors....I just fell off the fence after seeing the pictures....me wants...me wants lots. McKie, what model ASUS monitors are those? I am looking to pick up two more VW266Hs....just wondering what you thought of them if thats the same model.

I do have the VW266H . and pleased with them. The only grip I have with them is the bezels seem to be slightly curved on the sides.( not 100% square) . If you put them side by side there is a couple of millimeters gap at the top and at the bottom. but yet touch at the center.

It's something that wouldn't bother a normal person. but I'm kind of a perfectionist. All I did though, was set the two side monitors back behind the center monitor about 1/4 inch and they look great.

All I can say is that it took me quite a bit of fiddling around to get mine level all the way across 3 monitors. what helped me was getting the center set the way I wanted it first and then adjusting the other two. back and forth until I got it.

I even had to walk away from it for a couple of hours. and then try later.

I called them up- they told me I could not be reached and sent me 2 emails??? My phone reception at work is pretty bad, but I am sure I did not receive any email

Anyway I fed up and ordered from nerd.net and the item arrived within 1 week. It worked out slight more expensive due to the shipping, but the actual price is cheaper than softmart

So I got the Chief stand and unfortunately it didn't work out too well for me with 3x2709's. Not sure what the problem was but I will say this, the stand itself is impressively made. It is unbelievably sturdy in construction and it will fit all three 27" LCD's, I just couldn't get it to angle properly.

Anyway for those that I still looking to get one check out Mounted Concepts. Chris Greiner is the Owner and had put together a great deal on the Chief stand for Eyefinity users. You can find that here.

They also sell the Ergotech stand and you can find that here. The Ergotech I do NOT recommend for anything above 25", but for <25" it is another fine solution. Use the code WSGF10 for a 10% discount on the Ergotech stand as well. Thanks to Ibrin and Widescreengamingforums.com for that discount.

About 300-310 after tax and shipping, thats a pretty good deal. So what are you gonna do with your stand now?

Love the chief stand; using it with 3 x 25.5 Asus monitors.

Mkay (or somethin like that) said he had problems with his monitors not quite lining up properly because the bezels arent actually square but slightly roundish (centers would touch, top and bottom produced a gap). Are you having the same issue? Ive also got 3 asus 25.5s (VW226h) and plan on getting the chief stand. Got pics?

Do your monitors rotate into portrait? I was considering this arm, but if it is difficult to adjust between portrait and landscape, maybe I should reconsider.

It is not difficult at all. One knob on the monitor mount locks the rotation/pan, another locks the side to side slide along the rail.

Did you check to make sure the bar is level first?

It will work if the total length of the center monitor and one side monitor doesn't exceed 50"
