Best Buy Responds To “3D Glasses Syncing Service”

As long as they don't require you purchase this to buy a TV or they tack it on as some sort of service "built in" to the price of the TV then I don't see any problems. If you buy it then you get what you pay for.

At some point personal responsibility has to weigh in.

I work for Geeksquad, and we have alot of customers that know nothing, but have all the money in the world to buy all the extras we have. People without money pick the product, know what they are buying and walk out.

So if I go to a Best Buy knowing what I want, pick out the product, and purchase it without buying additional services, this means I have no money?

Wow, that was a retarded thing to say.

Wouldn't it be better if you could just fleece everyone?

Wait a minute. Wouldn't the 3d glasses that come with the TV already be "calibrated to the tv?

Indeed, but what's to say they already don't do that, not just with this stuff, but with also the "extended warranty on top of your manufacter's warranty".

It doesnt matter how long it takes, I charge $75 dollars an hour for onsite small business or home technology help, whether that is setting up a small wireless network, Active Directory, or showing granny how to burn music CD's. It is a service people.

I suppose paying someone to change your oil and install rotors on your car is a ripoff too? If you KNEW how to do it you wouldn't pay someone to. No service is a ripoff unless they are lying to you.

If it takes 5 minutes who cares, try getting anyone to come to your house for less than $50 bucks a trip.

It's more of paying someone to adjust your rotors and check your oil just after you buy a new car. Doing it two years later is maintenance.

They claim they're charging $150 to perform a service that doesn't exist.

If I went to a mechanic and he told me he'd change my headlight fluid for $150, should I just say "OK, you are an expert and you're providing me with a service, so I should pay"? Fuck no.

Hey, I've had to drain fluid from my headlights before! We found some really deep puddles on an off-road trip and some muddy water got into the headlight buckets. Fortunately I was qualified enough to drain them myself without having to spend $150 at the dealer :D

That's why you get the accidental coverage and always ensure you have an accident just before it runs out.

What, doesn't everyone do that?

Best Buy figured out Step 2! Mind = blown

Of course they figured it out. how else do they charge you using a fake card and have you thrown in jail so that they can keep the money and the stuff they "sold" to you?

Or how they'll gladly charge you 50 dollars to upgrade the PS3 HDD that takes a few minutes to do after you backup....

If the customer is too stupid to figure it out and willing to pay, why not charge them to do it for them.
