Are these good speakers for a 12'x12' entertainment room?
Dayum, I wish they would have the black ones on sale....dayum. wish I had a fry's near me.
Define 'good'
I'm no audiophile (obviously), but I'm remodeling my entertainment room and I threw out my old Kenmore 5.1 set that has a wonky receiver. I'm going to get either something like a $400 Onkyo 7.1 or Yamaha 7.1 for the receiver, I'll have a center speaker of some sort (haven't looked into it yet) and 2 rear speakers and sub for a 5.1 setup. The setup is mainly for movie watching via PS3 (bluray + DVD). I just need something with crisp sound... I really have no other way to define it as I'm clueless about audio.
I agree, get a subwoofer. Polk has one that matches the wood of these that's aroudn $200-$300.
