Netbook users can now enjoy flawless Hi-Def web content streaming and multiple Internet applications with ease.

It'll have the new Atom N450 1.66ghz processor I see. I wonder how it fares compare to their N350 predecessor.

The predecessor was the N280 @ 1.66ghz. The N450 runs at the same speed, but includeds the intel graphics controller built in.

My Acer Timeline, with a dual core 1.2Ghz, doesn't give me as much battery time (4-6 hours) but can already play full 1080p mp4 and play flash videos using the intel video chip since it has 2 1/2 times the CPU power of the atom.

"next generation" nVidia ION and dedicated 512Mb memory.... How much will this Netbook cost?

It's still using a slow single core Atom. Depending on price, you can get 11 inch Netbook with dual core AMD Neo X2 with ATI HD3200 or HD4200, 4Gb RAM and bigger HDD for $600 or better...

So I hope this new Aspire will be priced lower than $399....

Thanks for the correction. I always get my Atom model numbers mixed up. I remember the previous being 1.6ghz but I didn't know what the difference between the new 1.6ghz and old 1.6ghz was. I just remember the previous two 1.6ghz were differentiated by being single and dual cores.

I don't understand why Acer would use the new N450 model if they're going to use ION2 if the N450 already has a GMA processor built in.

i have to see wether it will be strong enough to play world of warcraft or not... looks like a small and probably cheap solution to mobile gaming too ??

That would be nice; unfortunately the HP/Dell netbooks with 1366x768 screens all came with a $100ish price penalty. Ion based netbooks had the same, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

I couldn't be happier with my 11.1" Acer timeline....all the benefits of a netbook with none of the drawbacks.

If the last generation Ions are any indicator this thing will be expensive.
