Anyone know when the Swiftech built in pump/rad/res is being released?

Nice looking setup, med1kl. I was thinking about putting an MCR320 Drive on the back of my Antec P182. It looks like the hose ports are in the same place relative to my fan location as they are on your 1200s lower fan location. I want to mount my rad so the fittings face inward towards the case and mount it so the bottom is 120mm lower than yours is. I'm ok with the rad being spaced farther from the case, but I'm wondering how far removed the fittings will be from the holes. I'm thinking that one of them will line up near perfectly with the lower hose hole.

What I want to do is fabricate a pipe that threads into the radiator that is bent smoothly so that it enters the upper hose hole on my case. The other pipe could be just an extended hose barb. I have access to a machine shop and I can cut my own threads and hose barb on the pipe. Then I can paint the pipes black for a very smooth overall look and no hoses outside the case.

This is a very nice setup, I currently have the H50 cooler and love it, I think Swiftech might be using a few of there ideas?

The only problem is price, almost $200 and then you have to buy a block... so $250-280?

How is the performance?
I have a 920 @ 4.15 and 1.32v with my H50 cooling it @ load temps of 67*c max

I could imagine this kit cooling better but at idle temps of 42*c I wouldn't waste $250-280

oh and could this system (pump) support cooling a GPU or 2 on the same loop?

i just see it overpriced, you can buy a rad + pump + custom top + double male fitting and gives you the same thing. Still you get better flexibility placement because this seems to mount vertical only.
 
I am completely with you on pricing, but I think I would rather have a all-in-one system then 3 different things to have to connect together and try to find places to mount up everything, even more so in a small case, such as the LANBOY I WCed a while back.

I don't see why you couldn't mount horizontally.

Of course you have to fill it vertically, but I don't see why you couldn't mount it horizontally after you finished filling it.

Did I not see where it said it had to be vertically mounted? :confused:

You can mount it in different orientations, but there are limitations in order to protect the pump from catching air and ruining the seals.

As far as this single rad/pump cooling a CPU +GPU(s), I could see cooling 1 GPU but a triple rad is going to run pretty hot with 2 GPUs and a CPU on the same loop. You would need a second radiator, 2 GPU blocks and a CPU block. That would be a hell of a load for 1 little 8W pump.

I plan to get an AMD x6 Thuban and cool it with an MCR320 Drive. Later I might add GPU cooling, but if I cool more than 1 card I will add a second pump in series or a second loop entirely.

Maybe slightly overpriced, but it is super convenient.

Looks nice, but spend $40 and buy some nice compression fittings. Those hose clamps are just not as cool as the rest of the system.

How does that new block do on temperatures??? I,ve seen some data that hints it does as well/better than the Heatkiller.

Not any way you want. The pump must be gravity fed by the rad/res if you are running only the pump in the unit. In some orientations, the pump will work but the reservoir function will not. If you had a second pump in the loop that fed the MCR drive, you could put it in which ever way you wanted but the reservoir and air purge function of the MCR Drive would not function. The image below is straight off from Swiftech's site and lays out the possible instillation scenarios very well. I don't think Gabe will mind as it's educating folks about his product.

Yes, orientation #5 is a no-no since the pump could run dry and seize up on it's maglev ceramic bearing. The best orientations are the ones with no air running through the pump.
 
Wish Swiftech made them in single 120 form but I'm guessing there isn't a large enough market for that size to warrant production. Plus with the cost of the these it wouldn't make sense, cost too much.
 
swiftech makes a single 120... its called the H50... not nearly the pump as the 320 but still the same thing in theory
 
Corsair H50 is made by Asetek and they sold a product called the LCLC (low cost liquid cooler) for almost 4 years now.

Corsair H50 just came on the market not long ago. Its a LCLC "designed by Corsair" (it has a Corsair sticker).

Hey Med. How is the pump noise on that rig? I've read that the MCP355 noise is somewhat dependent on what top it is running with. The integrated top is solid brass, right? I've been thinking about picking one of these up and running Gentle Typhoons on it and was wondering if the pump would be loud next to a 1100 or 1850 RPM GT.
