I honestly don't know what to think of the game.
I love the idea of it, from the skill progression to the randomized weapons. Unfortunately in the videos I've seen it seems that in 4 player the monsters have tons of health and you just sit there pinging at them for a long time before they die, or the other extreme when I was watching this livestream earlier and they were on the last mission and they killed everything super fast when they were actually paying attention to the screen and shooting enemies. They almost died a lot since they just ran in blindly into every room and were commenting about how "hard" it was when the difficulty was really their own fault. Slaughtering enemies with terrible AI in bland environments can only be fun for so long.
We'll see...
Could have been game+ mode. After you beat it the first time, you unlock a harder version. I think there are at least 3 difficulties. At the highest setting, all mobs are level 50.
Beat fallout 3 once, then when it got trophy support (on ps3) I went back and played it all the way thru getting my first platinum. Also I loved every second of it. Perhaps you just don't like RPG's. I found Fallout 3 incredibly immersive and enjoyable. Hearing the comparison to Fallout 3 makes me more interested in Borderlands then before.Really? It's not like the hounds are similar, or the vending machines, or the lockers that have loot in them. It's pretty obvious who got his inspirations from whom. However, imitation is the highest form of flattery. In the end neither Fallout 3 nor Borderlands deliver in keeping the player interested long enough to actually finish the game. There's far to much repetition in either game.
is thins kinda like FO3 in terms of FPS RPGish??
And this is NOT an MMO correct?
Personally it looked the most like Mass Effect side quests with more guns and skill options to me.
it's like FO3 in the sense that it mixes FPS and RPG elements but BL's is a taaaad bit more action oriented.....take the RPG elements of FO3 and throw in the twitch gameplay of UT3 and you can imagine what BL's will be like......FO3 is more story driven though.......BL's is more of a storyless grindfest/lootfest like Diablo 2.is thins kinda like FO3 in terms of FPS RPGish??

I'm willing to bet sight unseen this game will be a hell of a lot more fun than that.
