Was wondering if anyone who ordered their 5870 from say zipzoomfly had their orders updated with shipped
 
I bought mine from newegg at ~ 4:30pm today and it has already shipped. I got a tracking number.. :)
 
My XFX shipped from the 'egg today, I have the tracking # :). Overnight delivery = in-hand tomorrow!
 
Ordered mine from Newegg last night at about 8 pst and it's shipped. I'll have it Friday.
 
I ordered an XFX 5870 from the Egg today. My order is now showing as shipped. Woohoo!
 
Not bragging seeing that several people are dying to get there cards.. but..

Okay, just so some of you that orderd from ZZF know, a crap load of 5870's are backordered, thats why your status still says "Packed" I belive.

I called earlier to see if it's even shipped yet because I was getting nervous, the rep said she will find out and if she could call me back. She actually did later that day and she told me my order was backordered and that they will have them on the 29th. She also asked if I wanted a to cancel my order, so you guys can still cancel if you want.

I kept it because I didn't want to wait for the whole returning and waiting for a week for the money to show back up in my back account when the card SHOULD ship the 29th.

I hope to god their 29th shipments are enough because I'm going to raise hell.

Never buying from ZZF again, first time buying from them was a bad experience.

I ordered around 1:15 PST from NCIXUS and now says my order was shipped via fedex at 4:45p on 9/23. Here's to hoping fedex doesn't trash it like they trashed my TJ07!
 
I got one of the first batches in Australia, I think the fact that I also bought an i7, mobo and RAM at the same time may have encouraged the store to up me in the priority list though. Shipped today and should be in my hot little hand tomorrow afternoon. Might chuck it in my old system before I build the new one so see what all the fuss is really about.

Should get mine today from NCIX.COM. Ordered at 5am yesterday, shipped at 9pm last night (5pm in Vancouver)

Tracking is showing it as 1hour from my house. (Vancouver to Ontario in less than 24hours, impresses me every time)

Exactly the same here. I order mine at about 11:10 CST and chose the next day shipping. As of right now the status still shows packed, however I did get this from their site:

PACKED

This stage involves the following:
Receiving any items in your order that need to come from other locations.
Performing live testing on products that require it.
Packing your order for shipment.

The packing stage is an indication that your order will be shipping soon, or may have already been shipped. You can expect a tracking number at the end of the day via email.

So hopefully it has already been shipped and they are just slow on updating the site. I sure hope it shows up tomorrow, well actually, later today since I already sold my 4890 and using my backup card until it arrives. I cant wait to test out the power this thing has.

If this also happens to be the case with my card also then I will never order from ZZF again. If they didnt have the cards in stock then they shouldnt have had them listed at all. Had I known they the cards were on back order then I would have gone with a retailer. They also shouldnt have the cards listed as packed if they really are not packaged up. This kinda bullshit really pisses me off. Companies can get away with whatever they want apparenty.
 
And yet another thing that pisses me is this, directly from ZZF's site:

No where on their site does it state that the card I ordered is in backorder so even now if I wanted to cancel my order and order from newegg I dont even have the option. What a headache this is turning out to be. I think I will give it through tomorrow and if doesnt show that it has been shipped then im going to give them a call.
 
If anyone gets confirmation that their ZZF order has shipped please post it here. It will help to ease alot of peoples minds im sure, especially mine.

Seems to be the case with everyone who has ordered from ZZF. I am giving it until tomorrow then I may just call and cancel my order. The biggest inconvenience about doing that is that it will take another 3-6 days for them to credit my money back to my account. I sent them an email asking whether I was to expect my order to be shipped today or if it was on backorder and I was totally unaware of it. If I get a response I will let you all know.
 
I really don't understand why ZZ got more cards than anyone else...how does that work?

Where did you hear that they got more cards than anywhere else? So far, we really dont know if they got ANY cards at all since there are no confirmed reports that any of them have actually been shipped.
 
If this is the casewith zzf. I will call them today to verify that it is on backorder then I will tell them to cancel my order and let them know I'll post some negative feedback on resellerratings. Its funny but now I remember why I stopped ordering from ZZF. They would always show an item in stock then once you ordered it say it was backordered. I'll have to wait for newegg to get some in. But by the looks of it that will be a long long wait...

Do some benchies but you'll probably be CPU limited until you pair it with your i7.

My Newegg order of the xfx 5870 is showing it as shipped and right now somewhere in Louisville, Kentucky...

I feel bad for the ZZF customers whose order still hasn't shipped! I guess that's why I prefer shopping from the Egg when I can. They seemed to have done me right with the 5870. $20 less than most stores and prompt shipment!

Well if you do give them a call please let me know what you find out. I normally always order my parts from newegg and I dont know what persuaded me to go with ZZF this time, but im sure regretting it now.

Only problem is ATI PACKED them so tight that they can't ship them yet. j/k

I don't think anyone got their ZZF card shipped yet. I think I am going to cancel my order. I even ordered a HIS card just because I thought it was all they had in stock. If I am going to have to wait a week might as well get a card from a decent manufacturer.
 
I think I'm going to give negative feedback too and ask for credit, this is f***ing stupid.
 
My order from yesterday from Newegg for an XFX 5870 has shipped....arriving Monday the 28th.
 
I am going to call ZZF at lunch and demand my 2 day shipping be upgraded to next day free (well, the diff between 2-day and next day free) or to cancel my order. I would rather wait longer for Microcenter or Newegg to get it in stock then to give my money to ZZF. I am pissed because the only reason I didn't get the Newegg XFX card was at the time my ZZF order was listed as Packed.
