hey,

is anyone else having CPU-Spikes when you're doing a lot of read/write in windows 7?

My computer just lags/hangs for a few seconds randomly.

Do you have a specific example of an activity that causes this? I can't say that I've seen this issue at all in Windows 7 from Beta to RTM on the 12 machines I've installed the varioud releases of 7 on.

But this is more then likely a chipset or RAID driver issue.

Have you tried finding newer drivers?

I'm using the iaSTOR.inf from the intel matrix raid setup.
It's running in AHCI mode.

This never happened in the beta's.
I've just disabled indexing (oh man, computer went ballistic when I did that).
Graphics Driver kept having kernel crashes. I've tried two sets of Nvidia drivers. 190.38, and 186.18. Both have the kernel crashes.

kept stuttering and lagging. We'll see how it goes from here.

Edit: Still happening. And for some reason, I can't roll back my driver for the ICH9R AHCI Controller to the WDM one.
