Just a few questions. Is the Corsair a good choice of ram for this Mobo? For the cpu cooler I would have to purchase the new updated bracket mounts for it to work with an I7 mobo. Should I just buy the Dark Knight version instead? I am using the S1283 for my Q6600 (which will be sold). Thanks!

The Corsair Dominator, IMO, is overpriced. Go with this Mushkin DDR3 1600 kit, which is currently on sale.

Since you already have the HDT-S1283, just buy the mounting brackets.

Dominator is overpriced, fact not "imo" :D

Well specced DDR3 1600 ram is often on sale for $80 or less.

Any suggestions as to which of these $80 dollar rams I should be looking at? I have never been a fan of mushkin. Keep in mind I don't mind spending extra for good ram.

Another question for the motherboard. I have also been looking at the ASUS P6T Deluxe V2. Would you guys recommend that board over the new EVGA X58 LE?

Mushkin is actually good, brand-name RAM. And it has a lifetime warranty. G.Skill also makes a good kit.

Right now, the Directron deal on the Muskin DDR3 1600 kit is the best that I've seen around.

D'oh! That's actually a very good reason why you shouldn't get that kit.

Going back to the "Corsair Dominators are overpriced" argument, this is the G.Skill kit I was referring to earlier.

Hehe... I didn't notice that earlier, lol. (that they were 1GB sticks at directron)
