Trine demo released

Won't install for me correctly. Gives an error that a file cannot be copied. Game still runs, but the graphics are really fubar. Too bad, looks like a neat game.
 
yeah the demo was pretty fun. I'll probably pick this game up, not sure about ps3 vs. pc. need to try it out but it seems like drawing boxes with the wizard would suck on ps3
 
outstanding game :) played the PC demo last night and was pretty blown away. Haven't played a platformer that felt this fresh in a long long time (probably since the 16bit days). The concept is great, reminds me of the lost vikings a bit.

can't wait for the full release, I'll be buying it for sure
 
Very cool demo! It's like the NES versions of Castlevania, Wizards & Warriors and Strider rolled into one with excellent visuals and better audio.

Looks like the copy of the demo on Fileshack is corrupt. It's up on steam now, so I'd get it from there.

Really cool game. The graphics are very slick. has good voice acting and appears the story will be solid. Makes very good use of physic as well. I'll be picking this up.
 
Even $30 is way to much. DC games shouldn't be more than $10-$15 tops. You might as well put it in retail stores and make a ton more money if your going to be charging $40.
 
Aww man im a sucker for good platformers. Brings me back to my childhood when I'd play nothing but the first Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure and such for weeks on end. Does anyone have a ballpark figure for how long the retail game is supposed to be?

I tried it this morning, I thought it was good but not really my thing. Long ago I'd have probably played this all the way through, it really does look great and it plays well.
 
Damnit I just have no luck with this one. Download from filefront was corrupt, so I downloaded it on steam. No issues with the install this time, but when I load the game it just hangs at the main screen.
 
I was impressed by the PC demo, and I hope that a PS3 demo would be available sometime soon (if it's out now, I haven't checked the store). I liked what I saw on the PC, but the keyboard control layout took some getting used to. I'm wondering if the PS3 controls will be better...
 
The 360 controller works great on the PC demo, I didn't even bother with mouse/kb.
 
I got the demo from steam this morning and I'm enjoying it very much. The feeling I get using the thief is reminiscent of Bionic Commando a mixture of frustration and excitement.

Does anyone now when in July this comes out?
 
This was actually really interesting and very very artistically well done. Good take on the old sidescroller.
 
I thought this game was going to be blah but I'm very impressed by the demo! I like how they give you three different characters and you really need only two (not sure how to navigate around with the warrior alone) to get around the level but if you want to solve all the little puzzles, you have to work together and keep your "team" alive.

Hell, even my mom might like this game. Some of the potions were up there and I couldn't reach them sometimes so I guess I kind of suck. :(

With the green potions, they say experience. Eventually can you draw different objects with the Wizard or do different things with the other two characters? I notice they have energy bars but they never deplete? Maybe I wasn't blocking\grappling enough.

The coolest part is not only can all three solve puzzles but they can all do combat. Wizard can move objects onto enemies or create a crate and bash em, thief has the bow and can grapple and swing into enemies to kill them and the warrior has his sword.
Very refreshing take on the platformer. Do want.
 
This is one of the coolest games to come out in a while, a breath of fresh air with all the mediocre FPS games that keep coming out.
 
I cant change my kb+mouse config, anyone try and have some luck? I dont like wasd, and like to use mouse to jump.
 
This game was pretty fun. It may be the first game in a while I pre-order. Does anyone know if Shadowgrounds is any good? It comes for free if you get this game off steam.
 
I really like the visual style. I agree about the voice acting. The whole thing makes me feel like I'm 7 again (in a good way).

I may buy it when it comes out, or I may wait a bit to see how fast the price lowers to $15-20.
 
My 4890's in CF are being worked hard and end up causing my computer to crash.... I don't know if it has to do with the Nvidia PhyX.... I uninstalled the demo. :(

I can play for awhile but my fans end up cranking up on the 4890's and then the BSOD.

I have the setting on very high which I think CF should handle with two 4890's any ideas????
 
That's odd, my single 4850 doesn't break a sweat in this game.

Disable crossfire? Its just a demo and likely dont have proper crossfire support. My single 4870 maxxed it out without even heating up.
