Today June 18, we are launching a very complete and comprehensive Overclocking database we think on the planet so far, We already have over 600 entries taken from the "The Official Core 2 OverClocking Database" found here on [H] http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1138241 , and have expanded the database to take AMD and Corei7 overclocks as well.

As some of you may know mentok1982 started this in July of 2006, and I took over on December 2006, and since 2006 have kept doing the Intel Core2Duo database for 2 and a half years BY HAND! Now with the help and webmastering of "gose", we have made the Overclocking database a Live online database.

Some new features for this online database compared to the old database include temps for idle and load, longer entry fields for what type of cooling your running, you can sort each column with ease, you can even see a % of overclock you have, with each entry you click you can see picures of the members validation screenshot and even a pic of their system itself. The "Keyword Filter" is a new and easy way to search for anything among the 600+ current entires, like who is using the same cooler as you and so on. A nice new and improved stats page, for example which brand of cooler or even motherboard is the masses using the most. Best of all if your new you can create your own account, make a submission with a validation screenshot of prime95 4+ hours stability, post your overclocking entry, and even edit it if you get new gear, or even add anohter entry for another system.

NOTE* If you're a current database participant already, and you see your username in the database, PM meXyour email address and I'll link the two together so you can edit your past entries.

You may also click "Feedback" and leave us some comments on what you would like to see added.

All this being said I will no longer update the image database on [H] please head over to our online database, to submit and edit your entry.

We are proud to annouce our new online database located at its new home! :D

thats awesome videomasterz! i just spent a good 30 minutes looking at peoples overclocks and comparing them to mine.

thats a very useful website. thanks for everything!

no problem, you should also thank "gose" he was the mastermind behind the website :D

Hey vidz, I know I should've done this sooner, but oh wellz, better late than never! Ended up getting a newer E8400 with E0 stepping a while back. Here's my results!

Lol, is that like saying the team that will win is the one that scores the most points? Actually, I'm in the midst of dialing in my overclock, then I do plan on submitting it in the next week or two.

Hello everyone!
Great thread, thanks very much!

Well, I have one question:
Is there some way to find Stepping Info (Week and Code) of my Core 2 Duo processor (Intel E8300) without looking on the CPU box (which I throw out) or on the CPU itself (because he is already mounted on the board)!?

I want to post my overclock results of my E8300 (and be the first one for this processor), but I can't find Week and Code information (neither one program for system information doesn't show this info's)!

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Stole

AFAIK, they're only located on the box and IHS of the chip itself, and not available through any software.

Damnit you guys make me mad! My northbridge isnt stable past ~455Mhz without insane voltage.

@NukeULater
Hm, where did you found that in CPU-z? Maybe you misunderstand, I am talking about Week and Code ("Stepping Info" like there, in thread, videomasterz wrote), not stepping field in CPU-z on "CPU" tab...

@enginurd
I am afraid of that!
Anyway, if somebody still think or know that is possible to see this informations with some software, let me know...

Thanks for answers!

Regards!

One more question:

What is better for DDR2 memory timing settings:
5-5-4-14
or
5-5-5-12
ie. Is there differences in "priority" between the individually kinds if latencies (CL, tRTC, tRP, tRAS and so on)?

P.S. System is stable in both cases, memory working on 1000 MHz, and this is the best that I can get from this modules...

Thanks in advance!

As a reminder I'm not updating the database in excel format no more, you need to go to cpuoverclockers.com and register and post your overclocking data there. All users that posted previously have been ported over and if you need your password just pm me and ill take care of it. All credit has been given to previous overclockers :) Thanks!

is there a core i7/i5/i3 version of this database. This is by far the most useful info in regards to overclocking I know of.

hi, i got a question.

Actually got an q9550@3400 with an Artic cooling Freezer 7 Pro (idle 36,40,37,36 Full 57-61-58-57), if i change the freezer 7 for a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, there will be any lower temp beneffit? i want to do a greater OC.

Suggestions.

Thanks
