in the $800's range....... i certainly wouldn't want to be the kid at a lan party with a 800 dollar Thermaltake case, i would be 'the laugh' of the event. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for Lian Li to do something like this, but Thermaltake ? LOL

Have always known Thermaltake from its ridiculous lust for bling bling but still they've managed to avoid ridiculous prices but now this one shoots straight over the scale!

Considering probable tooling costs they'll never sell enough of these to cover anything except very small part of costs.
But I guess they're making healthy profits from selling blinged very basic construction cases...

i was somewhat impressed with the design. not necessarily something i'd buy for myself, but i could see it being an attractive design to some (as opposed to some of TT's other designs, which can look more like transformers rejects).

but $800? no. just, no.

I like the fact that the design is innovative and different. I don't think it looks all that great personally, so I wouldn't buy it and for the price they can keep it.

It isn't as tacky as most of their offerings are though.

It looks daft, and I cant see how its an effective design, the price is just the icing on the cake :|

I like the design, I wouldn't ever buy the case unless it was pretty cheap to begin with but $800 is a joke.

i wouldnt even pay 100$ for this case let alone 800. My personal opinion on the case is that its just plain old ugly.

Looking at picture 6/18 I don't think I'd be willing to pay anything for it.
I wonder if the company has a good drug abuse program.

I want one but only willing for half the price (less if it's plastic.. those hard drive tray pullouts look like cheap plastic). This would be the case for me to dump SFF and go "big".

Looks a bit like a sci-fi city from something I showed before; wouldn't look bad as like wall decor.

Does the PSU bracket look like it's sagging (presumably from the weight) or what?

I'd rather buy 3 LL cases and just have 2 empty ones yet be able to gawk at all 3.

That thing's ugly IMO. I have yet to buy a Thermaltake product and that trend will continue for the foreseeable future. :D

The only way it could redeem itself is if offered Triple the cooling performance of any other case at the few websites that test for this sort of thing.

I'm not surprised on the price tag, remember BMW have their name involved in designing this thing, still ugly as sin, but I can understand why it's so expensive.

What do you expect when you go in with a car company to make a computer case...

While I like the looks of this case, the price is freaking outrageous. Here's to hoping they come out with a mainstream version using different materials. Not holding my breath though...

I think at that price they are targeting the elitist market, or extreme enthusiasts who are willing to pay that much money. That being said, what exactly do you get for $800? Are you paying for innovation, or uniqueness, or extreme cooling or ... ? It's kinda like the "I Am Rich" iPhone application that was featureless and cost $1,000. Sure, you get an app that says I'm rich but it doesn't do anything

Have you seen the case? I want one to build my own system with. Too bad you cannot buy them barebones.

Pretty much... people who can't afford it come up with excuses for why they won't buy one other then "I'm poor".

If I had the money I would probably have it for my main case pending that it performed the same / better as any other case.

I already have an 800D and don't plan on lugging it to LAN's... I plan on a gaming laptop or a SFF system for LAN's. but if it's something sitting on my desk in an office setting, something more interesting than a rectangular box that every single case on the planet is derived from.

And anyone judging the case based on that picture that looks a little off is an idiot who doesn't realize a wide angle lens distorts the image, most noticeably when you do have objects that are straight lines because then they become curved.

Oh that case....well, that's not much more than what Zalman wants for their self cooling cases, that have no fans, I think they went for about $600-800...I wouldn't buy it though.

Granted it's a bit of a minger, I've seen worse though.

Where can you buy this case? I like the look of it better than the 800D.

Aside from the red leds (would prefer blue or white) I actually enjoy the case's aesthetics.
$800 is expensive, but it is what you would expect with BMW's involvement and it being a limited run.
