Cheapest MATX x58 sighted!

Nice catch. I didn't even know it was out.

But it seems like we'll have to wait at least another month for reviews on it.

Well, if its actually being sold now then we shouldn't need to wait a month for user reviews which is more what I'm interested in than the professional reviewers say. Did anyone here at HF order one?

looks nice, sans SLI. the -GENE and -JR both support SLI, right?

Well the title of the original ncixus link seems to say SLI but the MSI product page makes absolutely no mention of it (it even says N/A for SLI...). It seems to me that it's only Crossfire.

If it can overclock at all, then that's more than they could in the past. I take it back, because it looks like things have changed at MSI.

I'll ask again... Has anyone ordered one? I'm curious in a HF user review.

In the X58m Manual, it listed SLI as an optional feature. It even show step-by-step on how to "SLI" 2 videocards.

more like i3. The quads wont have the GPU, only the duals.

Huh?

Assuming that you would end up buying this board, what would you be using it for?

I was moments from getting this one. NCIX wanted to charge me $40 for the cheapest shipping, so I went with mwave instead and got a Rapeage II Gene for the same price.

Oh well...

First post here. I have been looking into getting a mini x58 mobo. Until this week, I was only looking at the Asus Rampage II Gene and the DFI Lan Party Jr x58 for my new mATX setup.
But now with the MSI release I decided I had to do more thinking. While digging around, I found the board specs on the msicomputer site which now says the board can do both SLI and Crossfire support.

MSI x58M manufacturer info.

Anandtech's review mentioned SLI support too. "the board fully supports both CrossFire and SLI operation"

I think they reused another page as a template, because that board isn't "Equip with 3 PCIe x16 slots, NVIDIA SLI Ready," like it says under the SLI section. I'd be surprised if this board actually supports SLI.

Then be surprised. Anand, in his review, says it does SLI and even ran his benchmarks with it.

Yeah, and I even read that article yesterday where it outperformed the Gene in the SLI config, guess I should have paid more attention. Still, MSI needs to get things fixed on its page for the board, since some things are clearly wrong.

Just like Intel's DX58SO, they didn't list SLI on their website until a bios update was released.
