That is what a Vice President over at AMD has to say. Intel is Tonya, AMD is Nancy.

I'd have to disagree. I think AMD is Tonya and Intel is Nancy. All I see AMD doing is trying to whack the knees of Intel.
The EU decision was about fining a company for breaking the law. This is criminal law.Do you think the EU decision would have somehow magically made AMD a better company with a better product?
Maybe so, but when the Athlon and later AMD processors were bitch-slapping Intels P III and P IVprocessors all over the place, Intel resorted to the business equivilent of breaking kneecaps. Quite a difference between the two.

Reports have indicated that Intel is now open to civil litigation by companies that feel they have been harmed. This is civil law.
Mr. Non-sequitor I'd like you to meet Ms. Sour Grapes. Have a nice date.

You know, I'd kind of have to agree with AMD on this one. Intel really screwed AMD over by buying several chip manufacturing plants that really limited AMD's ability to mass produce certain chips (I believe it was factories that produced 32nm chips). AMD was pretty much forced to stick with 45nm chips for some time, while Intel was pumping out the new, smaller, faster chips. And going back, it's at this point that AMD really started falling behind.
Agreed. The Athlon was a superior product for a long time, not withstanding 3GHz and up P4 parts trading blows with at the time Athlon XP parts. Then the Athlon 64 stole the show until Core 2 hit the streets. Despite AMD having a much faster part for years, what did you see on almost all OEM boxes in the stores? That's right, "intel inside."
People didn't get a choice because of Intel lowballing the competition (AMD) in sneaky rebate and exclusivity agreements to shut out AMD. This is wrong no matter how you slice it. Intel should be punished for that.
Did someone call a waaaaambulance?

Are they just upset that they perceive AMD is rubbing it in their faces? If you have been wronged for years is it not naturally to gloat when you finally have a victory.
Anyone remember what happened with HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. Even though HD had superior technology...
Pull up the specs on both and show me exactly how HD-DVD was the "superior" technology.
Do you think the EU decision would have somehow magically made AMD a better company with a better product? If you do, I want to hear from you how you could excuse this latest round of PR nonsense as an indicator that AMD will come out stronger because Intel got punished.
I am gonna side with AMD
Because even though I use Intel, I know if AMD wasn't there Intel wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of me in ways I never want to know.
Why do you even think Intel was pushed to make the Duo chips? You can thank AMD for that.....
