NEC 2690WUXi questions

Hi, new member here, stumbled across your forums from google and love it here. I have read some of the threads concerning the NEC 2690 monitor and have a few question because i seem to be consufed about a couple things.

1) Does this monitor support 1080P HDCP content or not, i have seen mixed messages about this.

2) Would this monitor be any good for gaming, i don't care about ghosting as long as it isn't really noticable.

3) newegg sells this monitor, any word on wether is the new v2 or still v1, i hear the v2 doesn't have the A-TW polarizer which would suck i think.

4) In travbombs thread about this monitor he shows a picture with grapes and stuff, is there anywhere i can get that picture, just to see what it looks like on my current monitor compared to what it would look like on the NEC, i know i can't tell a lot of the details from a pic on another monitor.

5) Is this monitor a glossy or matte finish, i can't quite tell LOL.

1) Can't say for sure, but it appears to. I don't have anything I can force to both 1080P and HDCP, however I have had it work fine with HDCP turned on (it can be turned on or off on the monitor) with my PC in 1920x1080.

2) I think it's great. No ghosting that I notice. Some people don't like it because of there are 2 frames of lag, me I don't notice. I find it works great and I game a LOT.

3) Don't think newegg is doing the v2. Look at Provantage maybe.

4) Can't help you here.

5) Matte finish. A really, really good matte finish. Probably the best finish I've ever seen on a monitor.
 
awesome thanks for the answers, that basically answers my last question about it, soon as i get the funds together it will be ordered :)
