EVGA X58 Classified release date leaked

I guess it was let loose today???
Can't get on the site to see for myself???

Russian, I do like that loaner dealio..........sign me up for the glasses:cool:
I don't think I could truely appreciate the Classified in just two weeks, and on top of that having to supply the CPU,Ram and proper cooling......formatted HDD,etc, etc, etc.

I love people complaining about the price, When the Ramp 2, P6T6, Eclipse, are right under it by not much.

This might be the Mobo i pick up when i finally decide to upgrade to i7. I have a 920 from Mc deal and dual channel DDR3 that i purchased for my 775 build, Guess im set when im ready :p

Why the rush? You would think that this is a limited edition numbered mobo. Im sure they will have enough for everyone.

Can't believe the board sold-out in just seconds of release :(... oh well.. i'll wait for eVGA to work out the kinks before buying a stable one :)

Yep, I just did my step up. waiting to see how long its gonna take. $159.99 total for my step up. at least its not $450. ;)

Screw it anyway, I surrender to the impulse to have something new...............

I stepped up this afternoon............classified here I come............$160 for this $450 MB was too great a temptation.

#70 in the Queue.

Damn EVGA,damn you anyway.

(anybody need a Bitspower MOSfet cooler for the EVGA X58 SLI X3????)

I was blown away w/ your duel xeon asus setup...can't wait to see this one!

coming from you magoo...I'm not surprised, you're the epitome of [H] members, changing out the latest tech like daily underwear

I've still got two months left on my stepup, so I'll wait a bit. If this turns out to work pretty well and doesn't cost me too much, I may have to upgrade. With my ginormous Accelero setup, this board would work a little better than the regular X58. I'm not sure I want to pay that much more for pretty colors and slightly better airflow over my perfectly-acceptable current board though. It has a lot of neat features, but I'm not sure I'd use most of them more than once.

Well, I don't know about underware......socks maybe......
My motivation (I have to rationalize this somehow) was to see what all the hype is about.
I hope these EVGA guys did a good job, because I'm really liking my X58 SLI board.:D

So, check this out..................two Classified boards, the NF200 and the non-NF200.

Just in from XtremeSystems and a few people:

THERE ARE GOING TO BE TWO VERSIONS OF THE CLASSIFIED

1) nForce 200 edition

2) NON-nForce 200 edition

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=220793

Interesting.........I have not been that excited about the NF200 after reading the [H] article on the ASUS P6T Workstation Revolution..........
Makes me a bit confused about my step-up.............I may just ride this out until the non-NF200 board is released.:eek:

You wont be able to run sli without the NF200 chip right.

Wrong, the many of the X58s run SLi and that is without any NF200 chip. The NF200 chip simply delivers full X16 to all 3 slots and allows to have a PhysX card as well as a sound card.

yea but how cheaper is the non-NF200 one? :)

was reviews out of the non nf200 boards being faster as well, so if you dont plan on using the feature the nf200 chip offers above the non nf200, dont waste the money

Russian I'm a bit confused. If we don't get the nf200 I can't use a sound card + PhysX card? Lol sorry. I'm in class and can't take notes and read something andatech at the same time. I get too sucked into it :p But damn it's going to look sexy with my XFX 4870x2 Black PCB and some WCing >: )

I'm probably going to pick this up once I roll over to i7. Always loved EVGA. My trusty 680i SLI A1 despite all the crap people had with it was great. It was my first real OCing board and I pushed it nicely :) Plus I know I can harass Russian if something goes wrong and I want my RMA :p Just kidding Russian :)

And to those haters, STFU. Yes you can compare this to a ferrari or a lamborghini cuz it's the top end of the top end of each market. This is the top x58 board with all the newest and latest features. The newest ferrari is the latest in luxury cars. Seriously stop hating cuz you can't afford it. Everyone has hobbies. I spend 1.8k on my kendo gear. Most people go wtf, why spend almost 2k to whack other people with a bamboo sword? :D

Russian I'm a bit confused. If we don't get the nf200 I can't use a sound card + PhysX card?

Afaik x58 chipset has 36 lanes in total. It's 16x +16x +an empty slot or 16x+8x+8x. That would Effectively put a 4th slot in X4 mode and if you ran a sound card then you would be running the sound card in X1 and yoru PhysX card in X3 (not that im even sure that its possible, purely theoretical).

Wow, i've thought about getting into kendo before, but never realized it was that expensive. And yes you can still use a sound card on the normal x58 evga board, you just have to have a single slot waterblock :)

Ah makes sense.

It's an expensive initial investment and you can get cheapo gear for like 300 but you'll have to replace it in about 2-3 years. Higher end gear, 1k-2k will usually last you a lifetime or twice (minus glove patching that comes from constant practice). Basically the cheapo gear is outsourced to China/Korean manufactors and the higher end stuff is made in a special Kendo making area in Japan. Oh and cheapo gear usually means less padding = more pain.

The real hand made kendo gear is ridcioulously expensive but man is it nice. It runs in the upwards of 10k+ as everything is hand cut (including the bamboo for the chest armor) to the cotton, hand dyed, etc, etc. EVERYTHING is hand made. Even the metal grill for the face protection is hand bent into the perfect size and form. It's insane.

That being said, Kendo is a great sport/hobby to get into. It teaches alot of things from patience to humility. You also can practice it way into your later years, my sensei is a 4th rank in Japan and he's probably like 70 something but he still beats the living shit out of us easily. Unlike muay thai (which I also do) you can't keep sparring and not risking injuries. Least with kendo you have nice armor to protect you. And, it's always okay to go all out versus hand combat where you only really go out in a life or death fight or a tournament match, but again refer to the age thing :p

/bail on NF200 classified.

il wait for the non NF200 based version :)

I'm with you. This sort of pisses me off though. If evga was planning all along to have a non-NF200 board, why not tell us about it.......

I don't want anything nvidia on my MB except video cards............my 680i board was good to me, but anything after that sucked big....(but was ASUS)........

Yes, I can easily decline my Classified(NF200) step-up and just wait and see what the nonNF200 has to offer......I do like the set-up of the Classified, but I was thinking today, I seriously doubt I'll ever use Triple-SLi again, I think a physx card is bullschizzle, and about all I might want out of the Classified is a bit more OC room.

So I'm going to wait......unfortunately my Step-up is history in 10 days......so the next board will be full price......decisions,decisions.

10 days left? That sucks. I still got 67. That why I bailed and my board can hold up for a bit more.

has there even been any conformation on the non-nf200 version? the guy who posted the pics also said he doesn't believe it will be released, and he's the one who got all the dates and info from evga before anyone else did..

also if the motherboard is set to last, the extra 16x lanes might help in the future, as the board is tageted at people who do tri/quad sli, and in the future bandwidth may become a problem, but again i can always be wrong :p

Ping my email when you see them for sale, I don't think EVGA will be sending one.

They are for sale on EVGA's website already Kyle.

i think he means being able to buy and get it right away, because right now evga's website is only showing notify me, as they are only releasing boards currently to step up members, then to the general public when stock is built up.

The "speculation" on evga is that the non and the normal Classified boards MIGHT be ready in a month:eek:

The guy who wrote up about the non NF board was "pretty sure" both would be released about the same time.......I'd say it was a guess..........and if it's true.......shame on EVGA, not telling anybody so they can continue to clear out their stock of X58 SLI boards.

AND.....correct, this board is not available for sale anywhere as of yet. This was a paper launch, so some of the early purchasers of the X58 might still qualify for step-up when the board is available.......again, my guess is a month.

I'm going to hold on to my step up spot....if the non NF board is close behind, I'll bail out.

I'm not quite sure who told you that you wont see Classified boards for a month, but that's total FUD.
