Post your "rate my cables" here

Is that fan on the bottom 100% necessary, and two what is the controller doing outside the case?

Probably not, but the fan is blowing in/ sucking in air from the bottom which, if anything, doesn't hurt. Plus it has blue led's on it and I can always use more lights. :D

The controller goes on the door panel. I have 2 addition cathode's on the door. Because the fan on top of the case is as wide as the case, the only way I could get a cathode up there is on the door. Since the door is off, the controller is just sitting there. The other controller for the 2 other cathode's (the ones actually pictured) is below the HDD bays. Yes, I like a lot of light. :D

mini P180 and non-modular PSU = nightmare.

Here's my attempt:

The fan just looks funky down there like that maybe a bigger fan would "help".

And the mini p182 guy that looks like trick photography to me.

Yeah, the space is designed for a 120mm fan (the one is picture is only a 80mm) and I will probably include a 120mm in my next Newegg order. I just had the 80mm laying around and figured why not put it in.

No, they're not mixed up. The first shot was after my initial attempt at cable management in an unmodified Antec 900. While it looks a lot better than the second, it would have been way too impractical for me. I would have had to unscrew the power supply and disconnect almost everything just to fully remove the side panel. Also, the other side panel was practically bulging from all the cables I had tucked in there.

All in all it was a bunch of time wasted to end up to where I was before. I also sleeved the fan and case cables, but it's not like that makes it look any better with power cables all over the place.

So my advice is to think twice before you attempt to redo your case's cabling.

Just added my new Sunbeam fan controller and an old 120gb hard drive I recently recovered.

here is mine i think i did a fairly good job.. this used to have a thermalright true black edition before i moved to watercooling and an ATCS 840

here is the new ATCS 840 with watercooling... and i have plans to make the cables much cleaner

Hey thermal-reactor, what exactly is that bracket on top of the 24pin connector? Anyhow, it doesn't get any better than your cable management in that case.

It is the spare fan shroud modified. It works perfectly and looks like it was made to fit that space.

Thank you guys for your comments. I have plans for water cooling with my next setup and will for sure make a worklog when I do.

So...yeah. Putting in the carpeting proved to be a bitch. Reversing the drives kept me up even longer. But damn if they aren't cooler by the circuit boards and the high pitched variable whine from the raptors has disappeared! There's a 3 ring circus of SFLEX in the front too. Everything stays chilly and it's fairly quiet. Just a few more cables to mesh and tidy here and there, but that'll have to wait for another day. It's time for some GIZ-AIMING! Steam, L4D, go!

Yes, that is a Fuji apple. Where have you been all my life? These things got packed w/ sweetness. If you haven't tried one, get on it. Or a honey crisp if your budget can swing it!

I will be sleeving the ATX power and buying an extension for the 12v P4 power and sleeving that as well as soon as i figure out how to remove the pins from the connector. I tried for a long time, no luck.

After staying up all night and finding this thread after about 2 years off [H], it inspired my to do some cable management after installing my new 4870. This is what I did with just routing cables and no zipties in my dorm room.

God my case is huge :D Love it though, and on my 4th build in it to boot!

DAMN you have room to spare! how about some watercooling?:D

Ya, well it was watercooled back when I had my P4 about 5 years ago with the original DD MAZE4. I ended up getting all ZALMAN'd up on my last AMD X2 build cause I was going for silence. I'd definitely like to go back to watercooling this summer. Havent had time as I upgraded to my C2D setup only a week before moving to Canada for school.

I do love that the loudest thing in the case is the hard disk. Reminds me that i need to invest in some sound insulation.
