Best Exchange AV for the price

Hello,
I'm currently looking for an AV product for our Exchange 2003 server and can't find any review sites that aren't promoting thier own products. When you search Google a product keeps coming up from a company called GFI but I've never heard of them so I'm not sure if these results are fixed too.

I've got a Barracuda sitting between the web and the box but if I enable Outlook Web Access then the Barracuda wouldn't protect my email stores from attachments coming in through there. And I also can't run a scan of my information store with the Barracuda. So what I'm really looking for is a GOOD product that would enable real time or at the very least manual running of a virus scanner against what's already in the store. I don't care so much about the anti malware functionalitly as the Barracuda should be taking care of most of that.

I'm currently looking at:
Kaspersky - problem with Kas is they just released an "update" that was crashing our desktops and servers, wouldn't admit it, and didn't let me know when they finally got the fix for it like they said they would... so I'm very hesitant to use them again for anything and will be moving to something else when our desktop licenses expire.
Sybari/MS - but I've had bad experiences with them
Trend
Symantec - last time we used them the product was a resourse hog although I've read/heard they completely redesigned the package and it's supposed to be pretty good and light now.

Any help is appreciated.

thanks,

Greg

That's where I started out but if you notice the GFI product gets lower ratings than some of the other but is somehow their editors choice? I figured it was a shill site.

I personally use Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security 5.0 which is a great all-in-one solution with a server-side web accessable control panel. It not only secures your Exchange server, but it's also and anti-virus and anti-spyware suite for your servers and client computers in addition to behavior monitoring, and contents control.

It's not perfect, but it does a great job.

I have WFBS installed on a Windows 2003 Small Business Server R2, and it's clients are Windows 2003 Standards, Windows 2008, and desktop Windows Vista and XP. Everything works great.

Even if users use OWA any mail they see and recieve in there will still go through the Barracude. OWA still gets it's "mail" from exchange which would get it sanitized from the cuda.

BUT... a user could add a virus attachment to an email created through OWA and it would not be scanned as it would come in on port 80 as opposed to the SMTP and/or POP3 ports that the Barracuda is watching.

Fan of Esets XMON myself, as well as sticking an Untangle appliance in front of it (and the whole network)

Yes Eset's XMON module for NOD32 is as competitively priced AV for Exchange as you will ever find. I run it at all three of our locations with Exchange servers.

Basically it is a small add on module for NOD32. Works very well for us.

I went to eset's website where it doesn't mention XMON anywhere. They do have a Exchange AV package but they won't list the price anywhere... which to me screams they don't need the business or they are embarrassed over the price. I filled the form out to be contacted at their leisure so I can get the price and then I went to download a 30 day trial... which had me fill out another form that ended up saying someone will contact me.... and no 30 day trial download. I guess I'm at the point where I don't think I should have to jump through hoops just to try a product so they put themselves at the bottom of my list. And yes, I have 0 patience for vendor games.:)

Eset is pretty bad about this. I contact them via a web form looking for a quote for a school environment. They only list Home and Business. It took 3 days to get a phone call from them to ask for my email address for them to send me quotes and trials in an email.

I'm extremely happy with the software but getting the ball rolling is a pain.

They still haven't returned my call so at this point I'm leaning towards Kaspersky's product mostly because of the price and virus catching history. (It's usually in the top 3 or so. But then again so is NOD.)
