Scientists say they are developing an electronic "sex chip" that is implanted into the brain to stimulate pleasure. Blame [H] reader jmarin for the link…and for suggesting the “sex chip” might be overclockable.

Neurosurgery professor Tipu Aziz, said: "There is evidence that this chip will work. A few years ago a scientist implanted such a device into the brain of a woman with a low sex drive and turned her into a very sexually active woman. She didn't like the sudden change, so the wiring in her head was removed."

LOL, so they turned a woman into a whore with this and she didn't like it.

An electronic machine, named the Orgasmatron, taken from the 1973 Woody Allen film Sleeper, is already under development by a North Carolina doctor, who is modifying a spinal cord stimulator to produce pleasure in women.

Two differnet devices, both being tested on woman. I'm not sure which is worse here, that they are making devices for woman to experience sexual pleasure, or that they have to make devices for a woman to be able to be pleased sexual. Maybe some of these woman just need to find a man that is better in bed.

ummm okay but how is this going to solve the economies problems.??

Woot I got in on the main page....

The overclocking idea was not mine blame engadget for that but I did say that version 2.0 would have birth control built in :)

I need a couple features enabled.......

First a wifi card.

Next I need remote startup/turn off and I need remote desktop so I can login figure out what "that" is doing.

Whoever invented this deserves a Nobel prize.

I have honestly met a few women who don't even have the desire to go at it with a high dollar vibrator.

What a pathetic topic and a pathetic thing to bother with; thanks for wasting my time [H]

puts a whole new meaning to the slogan...

Work Hard.
Play Hard.
Stay [H]ard.

Captain Kirk -- "More power Scotty"

Scotty -- "I'm givin' 'er all I'kin Kaptin"

Spock -- "The feelings I ...err... she is experienceing are illogical."

Of course Lt. Ohura is dazed in her chair mumbling something about "impulse power."

All the emphasis seems to be on women using this, but I assume it would work for men as well.Imagine a virtual reality device that can manipulate the chip in sync with what the viewer is experiencing.Be one hell of a population control method!

Although his idea didn't stimulate sex drive, but just the pleasure center of the brain in general, Sci-Fi author Larry Niven had this idea. Called them "wireheads", the idea is that a wire was connected to the pleasure center of the brain, with a small plug on the back of the head where one could plug it into a small battery pack. In his stories though, it caused very strong psychological addiction, most wireheads were pretty much like drug addicts. He also had a portable ranged "weapon" version of the same, the Tasp...aim it at someone, and they basically collapsed into a pile of orgasmic joy from having their pleasure center overloaded.

Let's hope for the sake of society as we know it that this is for women only. :p
