crysis,,, lock on a target simple question

Lots of people seem to have problems because of a bug stopping them from locking onto the final boss in Crysis... Well I don't even know how the hell to lock onto a target. Does it work through the binocs? wtf is going on how the hell do you do this lol.

Using the tactical nuke gun? If I recall correctly, when its core (or whatever its called) opens up, you simply aim down the tac nuke gun's scope and point at it, there will be a progress bar.

You can't lock on to everything. Just the part where you can shot, that the lock on will work.

They put handy little brackets over the part you are supposed to aim at as well. Just sight in on that part and wait for it to lock on.

It's been a while ut from my memory you don't have to shoot off the guns.

But it's advisable as getting a lock and avoiding gunfire is near impossible.

From what I remember you need to destroy the side turrets first, then you should be able to lock onto the "chest".

I found it to be a very cheesy ending.

No...I dont know how you guys managed to beat it but you had to fire off a couple railgun or missile launcher rounds into the belly first to weaken it. Otherwise the belly after releasing the little blue dragons will snap shut faster then you can ever lock on and you will be there forever.

My god that was the eastest part of the game on the hardest setting. The boss right before was much tougher. Honestly, I remeber hiding behind the crates, locking one, taking one shot and the ducking back behind the crate. I think I might have got hit once but never died.

The way I remember it was just a matter of hiding, waiting until the right moment then, locking and firing.
