Followed the build on the other thread, forgot to also ask regarding the cable sleeving.
You mentioned that you use 1/8 then 3/8 for the SATA cables, but how does the 1/8 even fit? I hope you meant 1/4 and 3/8 perhaps?

And just double layer 2 same size sleeves on top of each other for the clean look, then finish it with 1 layer of heatshrink? I've noticed that for some cables of mine that I bend a lot, the heatshrink kind of slips off, any suggestions for this? <3

Btw, your PSU fan is blowing out:confused: ?

first i taped the wires with white tape, than 2 layers of the same size of sleeve. i only used 1 layer of shrink (3:1! not 2:1). the shrink ratio is very important. with 3:1 i can bend my cables without any problems.

Btw, your PSU fan is blowing out:confused: ?

:D finished sleeving about midnight that day, put all back into the psu, made some pics, posted them, went to bed. 3 am a woke up and thought ... "damn, put in the fan the wrong way". changed it 3 am in the morning that night again... :D

Thought it was some unique innovative thing you're trying to pull off with that >.>"

And by 3:1 you mean 3x the diameter of the sleeve..? That's... a lot >.> PPC only has them to 1" heatshrink. E.g. a 3/8" sleeve for SATA requires 1+1/8 inch of shrink:eek:?

Ooo, and what about taping the sleeve to the cable then shrinking on top of it?

3:1 is the shrink ratio not the size. for 1/8" sleeve i used 1/4" shrink.
i taped the wires with white tape to geht them completely white so you can´t see through. it is not necessary to to tape the sleeve to the wires before shrinking.
can´t remember the shrink size for sata. just use the smallest size you can get abouve the plug...

Your work = art :)
Awesome job Tremeloes. Your craftsmanship + attention to detail are both phenomenal. ;)

WOAH! I just realized that you sleeved each PSU wire individually! Sure looks cooler than one big wire bundle.

Just curious as to how you got 3/8 braid over the ends of the SATA cable? I have some 3/8 and it wont go over the SATA head. Looks like 1/2 or 12mm would be needed.
