Antitrust? WTF?

there was a recent thread about this. i only checked the thread once;not sure what was all discussed. imho, its just lawyer class action crap.

and i think nvidia is in the clear because the dont sell cards directly.

i am eligible to be a part of this, but meh, i don't need the 1.45$ :)

Wow, In America these days, lawyers can do anything they want. And nobody can do shit about it...

I like this part : To be a member of the Class, you must have made at least one purchase of a graphics card from ATI’s or Nvidia’s website between December 4, 2002 and November 7, 2007. If you bought a graphics card during this period only from other sources (such as a retailer like Best Buy or a different website like newegg.com), you are not a member of the Class.

Can you even buy a card from nVidia's website? I haven't checked the ATi website, but can you buy one directly from ATi/AMD either?

Sounds to me like somebody blew their paper route money trying to run with the big dogs and are upset about it now.

Oh, and this doesn't suprise me at all. Just read the hot deals obvious pricing error threads where everybody is going to sue if they don't get their 52" HDTV for $38...Pathetic.

I can't speak for nVidia but you used to be able to buy from ATI's site (when it was Canadian, no less). In fact, they had some really horrible "upgrade" deals as well, pretty much the precursor to today's "step up" program for evga/bfg.

Yeah, I thought the same..
