HOWTO: Make a bootable USB key... (for BIOS flash, firmware update, etc)

so is the command the same on all motherboards? the tutorial says:

So now I'm going to update the BIOS on my motherboard using the commands specific to the flash utility I'm using. My command:

AFUD408.EXE A7350NMS.134 /P /B /C

obviously the the first 2 parts are going to vary motherboard to motherboard but what about the /P /B /C parts? is that the standard for all motherboards?

if you couldnt tell i have never updated the bios on a motherboard before.

thanks for the guide.

great know how but even this is becoming uneccesary, with things like Qflash where you just put the the BIOS file on a USB drive and point the motherboard to the file even before loading into the BIOS, not neccesary for it to be bootable

i think this is still the only way to flash things like video cards and raid controllers.
