The official "clean desktop" club.

my latest setup. dock is on autohide, so it's not always visible, and CD Art Display will disappear as well if I'm not playing music. Icons are ones I made last night.

I know, right? Who would have ever thought that a picture of a faucet would make a nice wallpaper? haha. Anyways, I don't remember where I got it originally, so I just uploaded it to imageshack. It's also pretty cool inverted, so I uploaded that one as well. Mine is flipped so that everything isn't congested to the right side of my desktop, but I just uploaded the original. Here you go:

I do have objectdock plus, but I still don't know how to turn the feature on. Do I have to DL a separate file/plug in?

They actually do make a good background, and those new icons you made go good with it.

Here, maybe this will help... Creating Flyout Menus

VERY nice, in the middle of building a 85' Iroc Z28, strapped with a 383, not very stock either.

:) I love the '85 body style... one of my favorites... that and the '69.

Here's a photoshop of my desktop showing the different things that pop up when moused-over. I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64, running Rocketdock (left side) and Object dock (right) with Yahoo Widgets (not shown, but in the top right). I use the autohide feature for everything so under normal circumstances the only thing visible is the Neon Clock widget, and I also use the Picture frame to act as a sort of wallpaper switcher, basically I have it set to the dimensions of my monitor (1680x1050) and link it to a folder of just wallpapers and set the layering to "Keep below all other windows" so it hides any icons on the desktop but stays out of the way of everything else. I like it; it works for what I want and looks good too.

By the way all the docks are opaque, just with the photoshop job I had to turn down the opacity so you could see everything on the different layers (I'm not very good at PS and don't have the time to get better).

How did you get your dock with letters only?

Nothing fancy, I like it simple. Background tends to change pretty frequently. This is the most icons I have ever had on my desktop
My primary monitor on the right is 1680x1050 while the left is 1280x1024.

You mean the text icons? They're just icons I made in photoshop. You can find a bunch on deviantart. TooBooKoo has some on his deviantart page actually. I just like making my own so that I can have them just how I want them.

aznpxdd: what VS is that? been lookin for one like that.

anyway here is my recent one. i've seriously begun to hate icons on the desktop. lol i'm using the regular start menu as well to make it a little easier. having a dock is meh. been there done that. wp is from interfacelift of Zion NP.

^ An Ubuntu background on Vista.... the Linux boys aren't going to happy about this. :p

Looks good btw. :D

Been tying Chrome today, one thing I don't like is that it forces you to the downloads folder when saving pictures. Hope they just add the feature that IE and ffox have.

I just made several new dock icon packs and got 'em uploaded to my Deviant Art Gallery.
I made some screenshots showcasing them, I can't decide which to use now... lol.

I couldn't decide which wall to use with the Transformers dock icons :)
