Please for you guru Computer guys advise me...

Vista is fine.
My advice, if you want full out gaming, get a better video card or SLi two of the 8800s, otherwise the GPU is going to hold you back.
Buy more RAM if you go 64 bit.
There are few good DX 10 games out in the world presently, I believe none of the games you mentioned are DX 10 anyway.

yes you are ready. get 64bit.

Vista will run really good on your system, but if you put more RAM it will run even better so buy some if you ever have extra money

yeah I agree with the others. Your rig's good for Vista, but I recommend getting another 2gb of RAM. You won't regret it. Superfetch will want to have sex with you if you did.

Get whatever version fits your needs, and that includes SP1.
yes you are ready. get 64bit.
Definitely, especially if you forsee adding another 2 GB of memory to this system, which at today's prices wouldn't hurt a bit.

So basically my Video card Will be holding me back ?, It's funny cause i always though it was the other way around that my CPU Would bottle neck first them my gpu.. So Now i wonder now what is really holding me back my cpu or gpu as far as gaming wise ?

I doubt it. I have a 8800 GTS 640mb myself and my Vista Ultimate 64 is swimming in cream.

There are very few games out which would utilize all of a dual core CPU.
Obviously most modern games tax the GPU in varying degrees.
The 8800 GTS is a good card, don't get me wrong......but for 199 there may be better choices. (ATI 4850 or 4870, 9800 GTX +)

You emphesized gaming, so I made my comments on getting the best gaming effort possible, and that would be maximizing the GPU.

This system was built about 1 1/2 years ago, This was in fact one of the best card out their at that moment well off course not to mentioned the 8800 Ultra or the GTX, sadly to say is that i bought it for $409.99, I hate technology how you buy something then like 2 weeks later your system is antiche

Basically the reason why i made this thread is that i know im gonna need to do some updates pretty soon and i was wondering if i should wait and leave windows XP Sp3 on this rig or spend the extra or just build a new system from the ground up. For now this computer runs all my games pretty good (Call Of Duty4)

What I'm trying to get at is if I could Run Windows Vista With My Current Hardware With of course 4 gigs of ram, Ram is cheap i could fork out a few bucks for that no problem

It would be a bit of both really. you would see a performance increase by going with a faster video board, but it's doubtful that you would get the full potential out of the new video board(s) with that processor.

When the 8800's were released, fast AMD dual core processors weren't holding back the GPU, but today they would.

Note that, if you buy an OEM (System Builder) version of Vista, the EULA only allows you to install it on one PC. If you change the motherboard, activation is likely to fail. The retail version of Vista doesn't have this limitation, but it's also significantly more expensive.
