New iPod Nano

damn that looks like ass. I hope they don't do that.

I'll stick with the huge screen of the iPhone. the nano should be music only.
 
I hope this is true! I am so excited. I've had a first gen 4GB nano since the week it came out, and have absolutely loved it. My screen partially died when my pockets got soaked during a rainstorm last year but have continued to use it as a glorified Shuffle since the fatty nano feels very awkward for me to hold. People who love it must have baby-sized hands or something, I dunno, but I am not feeling it. I think the 1st gen nanos looked the best but that the 2nd gen had the best combination of durability and size, and so a move back towards that would be welcomed.
 
I welcome this and hope it is true. I don't like fatty myself and loved the smaller design of the 1/2 gen nanos.
 
I'd imagine if Apple were to create a new one it'd look like a mini ipod touch but with the buttons and bezel in pink (if any bezel exists).
 
I'm pretty sure its just a quick photoshop. But I liked the old thin style, hate the new squat style, so this is a welcome change. But I really don't want video and big screens on my nano... thats why its called a NANO. Geez, I just don't want to go screenless like a shuffle. The old size was perfect.
 
Yeah I have the 2nd Gen Nano and I really hope they revert back to that design. It feels more natural to use and its easier to quickly wrap a set of earbuds around them. They should focus more on a long battery life and more storage space than trying to expand the screen size. If there's anything that needs a larger screen size, it's the large-capacity iPod Classics (80 and 160GB) because they can play movies and such.
 
I liked the first generation ipod nano the most. Looks like a mini Classic, love that metal backing with a nice clean white.
 
I do agree with reverting back to the old size, and the bigger screen will also be nice.

My 2G Nano had that same metal case; felt much sturdier than the polished plastic of other versions.
 
Unless they plan on bumping up the memory this seems like a bad idea.

I still have a 4gb 1g nano, got it the week they came out and love it. My only gripe is the lack of space, I filled 4gb the first day I had it, I could easily fill a 8gb nano also, hurry up and come out with 16gb and I would gladly pay $300 for 3g size nano.
 
Looks like one of the old fake mockups that were made off the 2G nano before the 3G nano was released....how is this even news?
