750i FTW wont wake up!

Hey Guys

I just got the evga 750i FTW ed. mobo and am having some troubles. The board works great until i put vista 64-bit to sleep. When i attempt to wake it up, the power flashes on then shuts off. after this i cant even turn the system on! the power button does nothing. the funny thing is when i take out a stick or two or three of my Crucial DDR2 800 ram, it will sleep just fine... Any Ideas? i just upgraded to the latest bios, but it didnt help...


P.S. why does vista show that i have 7.xx gigs free with 4 gbs of ram in but 13.xx gb free with 1 gb ram in?
 
I just sold my 750i FTW last week due to a few annoying quirks. What chipset drivers are you using with the board? Did you update the BIOS?

What annoying quirks do you speak of? I was thinking of getting one for a SLI rig I am building

(not trying to hijack thread)
 
I updated the bios to the most current version on the evga site. I just dont get the ram thing...

Had it for about 10 weeks, stable and fast for a few weeks then it would start getting quirky, i.e. slow downs, disk thrashing, constant hard drive activity, then game performance would plummet. Do a clean install, few weeks later starts all over again. Took the exact same core parts (case, hard drive, optical drive, PSU, cables, CPU, fans, heatsink, etc...), load up the exact same software, no issues. It is either drivers or BIOS, got tired of trying to find out.

Other things I didn't care for...

1. nVidia driver roulette is no fun, they released nForce 15.17 and pull them back a week later. They release 175.16 and 3 days later 175.19. The .16s run great but have slow downs in LOTRO, the .19s fix LOTRO but give me horrid minimum framerates in TF2.

2. I never had the video corruption bug with my 2x 9600GTs, but I got it with one Radeon 4850.

3. HDD light never worked (common issue)

4. No support, and according the eVGA forums mods, no support forthcoming for nVidia System Tools, no temp monitoring, etc... So I should spend another $34 on Everest when the feature page for the 750i chipset list nVidia System Tools and Control Panel extensions as a feature?

5. North Bridge fan was loud and a the shape of the bridge made a decent aftermarket tough without using zip ties and ugly shit.

6. Never had the data corruption issue that some have been getting since the 680i, but a couple backups I made on that machine were partially corrupt. Luckily they were redundant and I am paranoid.

Seems like a nice board that wasn't quite ready to be shipped and isn't getting the full-on nVidia support I was accustomed to with my old nFroce4 rigs.

So you never had the problem with sleeping and waking up though?
