Post 'em if you got them. Please include the following:

Code:
GPU:
CPU:
CPU load while folding:
Board Connection (PCI-E, AGP, etc.):
Memory used by the client:
Temps of the GPU (NVMonitor):
GPU Clocks: Core/Mem
PPD (as stated by FAHMON or other program):

I will start.

GPU: EVGA GeForce 8800GS
CPU: E6600
CPU load while folding: 50%

Temps of the GPU (NVMonitor): 75-77 C
GPU Clocks: 650/950
PPD (as stated by FAHMON or other program): 2822 to 3024PPD

How about adding if you're running any additional clients, and if so what clients. Maybe PPD with and w/o the additional client(S).
edit: Also curious if PCIe bus speed has any effect like 100 vs. 103 etc.

Good thread for tracking purposes.
edit: Those are some nice numbers on that card... Looks better than just the E6600 by itself.

Temps of the GPU (RivaTuner): 63 C
GPU Clocks: 675/972
PPD (as stated by FAHMON or other program): 4980PPD

edit: OC'd the card to 756/1053. FahMon showing 5292PPD.

Client 1:

GPU: EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 512
CPU: Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz
Memory: 4 GB
Driver: 177.35 Vista x64
CPU load while folding: 10%
Board Connection (PCI-E, AGP, etc.): PCI-E
Memory used by the client: 20MB
Temps of the GPU (NVMonitor): 72C GPU / 60C CPU
GPU Clocks: 770/1839/1052
PPD (as stated by FAHMON): 5644 PPD (OC) 4980 PPD (Stock)

Client 2:

GPU: XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog Edition (Bow Wow)
CPU: Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz
Driver: 177.35 Server 2008 x64
GPU Clocks: 671/1776/1003
PPD (FAHMON): 5292

Also running one instance of the Windows SMP client. Installed Rivatuner and updated my numbers after overclocking. Not sure how stable it will be at those clocks.

What driver version are you using? Gonna throw my 8800GT, but their supported drivers aren't for x64.

177.35. You need the modded inf file from here, and you need to disable driver signing by hitting f8 at startup as modifying the driver kills the signature and Vista 64 will not install/load it otherwise.

bonus since i already do that for VMWare anyway :D

will update with some results in a bit

GPU: EVGA 8800GT Superclocked 512MB
CPU: [email protected]
CPU load while folding: 25% (1 maxed out core)
Board Connection (PCI-E, AGP, etc.): PCI-e
Memory used by the client: 15MB (As reported by Windows via the Mem usage of the core)
Temps of the GPU (NVMonitor): 73-78C (28C ambient and 46C case temp)
GPU Clocks: Core/Mem 650/1900
PPD (as stated by FAHMON or other program): FahSpy reports 4380-4456 PPD. The value seems to change a bit so I'm not 100% sure.

Edit: Bumped the overclock from 650/1900 to 690/1900 and my PPD went up to 4618

Also messed with the fan controls and bumped them up and I'm now running 60C at most for the core temp.

You got 2 SMPs and a gpu client. Does that mean your total PPD on that rig is over 7k ppd?

0.png

Right now it looks to be just under 7k

GTX 4233.6 PPD stk (estimated 4600 PPD with OC)
SMP #1: 1677PPD
SMP #2: 500(estimated)PPD

Total some 6400 PPD it looks like... will know more tomorrow.

Can't wait for this thing to support my 2nd GTX

4600 PPD per GTX = 9200 PPD + 1700 from 1 SMP = Nearly 11k from one box!

GPU: 8800GT
Driver version: 177.26
OS: XP 32-bit
CPU: E6750 @ 3.5GHz (438x8)
CPU load while folding: 50% (basically has the second core pegged)
Board Connection (PCI-E, AGP, etc.): PCI-E
Memory used by the client: 15,408K
Temps of the GPU (RivaTuner): 41C (Accelero S1 with a low speed 120mm fan FTW!)
GPU Clocks: 700 core/1800 shaders/1000 memory
PPD (as stated by FAHMON or other program): 4890.71

GPU: BFG 8800 GT (Stock speeds)
CPU: Q6600 @ 3.1
CPU load while folding: Everest showing ~20% on core 1
Board Connection (PCI-E, AGP, etc.): PCI-E
Memory used by the client:~20 megs for the core, 3 megs for the client
Temps of the GPU (NVMonitor): 77C GPU, 69C GPU RAM, 56C GPU Ambient
GPU Clocks: Core/Mem 600/900
PPD (as stated by FAHMON or other program):~4500 PPD!!!!!!

Well, it certainly scales well with speed.

Upped GPU clocks to 750/1850/1050 and PPD jumped to 5292.00. (driver version 177.26) Up to 5644.80 with 177.35 drivers.

I really shouldn't be buying anything, but with the price of the 8800GT it will be hard to resist getting one for my other computer. 4500-5000ppd for $160-180 (Up here in Canada at least) is a great deal if you ask me.

I'm getting bent over. One HD 3870 840/1170 getting 1764.77 PPD? Nvidia grabbing 4000+????? WTF ATI?

This just just in...keep them core clocks up. FAHmon wasn't updating the PPD correctly after the core speed drop.

We have yet to see any ATI 4850 / 4870 numbers yet ..... so don't get upset yet.
Just like nVidia .. drivers are the key to performance here.

This just in...

Core clock (ROP domain) means nothing! It's all about the shader clock.

I dropped my speeds to 315 core (lowest it will go in RivaTuner)/1850 shader/1050 memory and am still at 5292 PPD. Core temp also dropped about 2C (I would imagine those of you on stock cooling would probably see a more dramatic difference), so I might be able to crank the shader clock a bit further. I think I'll let it sit here overnight, though, and see what happens.

that's an interesting observation....could crank the core way down in normal use, then back to normal for games and still get better performance

Awesome. Any power savings by doing this?
Get the Kill-A-Watt out ppl ....

8800GT @ 632/950 (174.55 drivers)
C2D E6550 @ 2.45GHz
DDR2 800
approx. 4,700 ppd

Sure wish I can use my SLI as only one vid card is being used ATM

Ok, ignore the previous claims of being able to drop your core speed and maintain PPD. Turns out, FAHmon doesn't seem to update PPD downward...just upward. So it kept showing my PPD staying the same until I got a new WU. Sorry for the confusion.

Just as a quick update, I (mostly) updated my FAHMON userpage showing the GPU2. That run includes an SMP VM I haven't setup to be able to access yet, so all combined, my desktop is GPU2 @ 4500 PPD, single instance @ 1000 PPD, and SMP at 2000 PPD, for a total of 7500 PPD on a Q6600

arew 7600's supported or worth it to run vs a e4400 @ 3ghz?

On the mainstream graphics card side, only the 8XXX series and later are CUDA-Enabled. Unfortunately, that means no Folding on anything pre-8XXX series.

I should have trusted my earlier artifact testing with ATI tool. As soon as I bumped my shaders up to the next level after 1839 I started erroring out. Maybe I need to get aftermarket cooling, but for now I'm content with 5600 ppd.

Wow,those numbers all seem great. I'mnot gettin anything like them at all. Have 2 comps. Both running vista 32. both have 174.55 drivers.
qx6700 8800gtx all stock and q6600 and 8800gts(the old crappy one). Both fluctuate between 1k and 2k ppd on fahmon 2.3.2b depending on the update. Both are also running 1 version of windows smp.

i guess first off, make sure your SMP clients are running on seperate cores from the GPU client....that will make a HUGE difference if they're interfering at all. In my case, it seems the hacked beta drivers I'm using on my 8800 GT are a good bit faster, so it points to a good CUDA patch coming in the 177.35 drivers

Ok, I went and unchecked cpu 0 in fahcore_11.exe and all the a1's below it, and unchecked all but 0 in [email protected]. I also clicked the box to slightly up the priority on the gpu settings.
The gts and the gtx seem to be doing bout the same performance wise, which seems crazy. The gtx is runnin 5002(r5, c86, g0) taking about 38 seconds for 1 percent change in fahmon. Says the entire thing is worth 98 points. It seems to have killed my smp client too running 2665(run 2 clone 331,gen 13) seems to be taking an hour per percent now. I'll let it run overnight and see what happens.

GPU: 8800 GTS 512MB G92
CPU: Q6600 @ 3.4
2GB RAM @866Mhz
CPU load while folding: ~20%
Board Connection: PCI-E
Memory used by the client: 15 megs for the core
Temps of the GPU (NVMonitor): 52C
GPU Clocks: Core/Mem 720/1065
PPD FahSpy 5010 ppd
1 SMP Client 2300ppd
1 console client 300ppd
total 7610ppd

anyone else have a 8800 GTS 320?

I think I'm getting screwed on my points, I don't think I should be getting 5k but seriously?

Um... what are you getting for points? I don't see where you stated what you are getting. Then again it's late, I haven't hardly slept for days and I have a massive headache so I probably just missed it.

Haven't seen any people with PPD for us midrange card owners, so here goes:

I don't usually fold @ home since I pay out the wahzoo for electricity and $$$ isn't exactly flowing. But, I do fold at work with a Pentium D 820 SMP client. I was getting about 400 PPD on that machine. I can pull maybe 600 PPD on SMP PC in sig (stupid 2665 project), I am now getting 1435 PPD out of my 8600GT 256MB stock. I'll take it. Load is about 55-60 per core on Win XP Pro 32-bit.

I'll take it, especially for a GPU that cost less than $100 8 months ago.

Been a folder since it started (admittedly off and on) but this might convince me to leave it on all of the time. We'll see.

Thanks NVIDIA and Stanford!
