Did they drop it? I know me and my friends paid $170 plus tax.. came out to like $185 + gas.

Still, I've hardly touched rock band since. Guitar Hero is a much better game.

but no, $170 is still the MSRP for the game.

Probably because you don't play the imitation drums. Try playing the drums, it is almost like playing on a real set of drums and it is far more challenging than either the bass or the guitar. Download Blackened and try that on Expert... goodluck.

Nah I disagree. My G/F's friend( a chick BTW) who is pretty hot(DD Rack) and nice A$$ went in with her BF to buy a 360 and Rock Band. Granted its not something you want play every night, but fantastic when everyone wants to chill and just hang out. Have a few drinks, some laughs, its a good time.
 
I agree with Vengance. its not really a nerd game, more of a group/party game.

I bought this game on amazon for my PS3 for $160 shipped. I played it a day at my house with pretty much no one to play with. I wanted to play the guitar and drums but I just can't do the guitar well past easy, and the drums were kinda fun but at the same time it felt stupid playing them because I play a real 5-piece set pearl masters studio. I could do several of the songs I've actually heard before on expert, including metallica. After a few hours playing by my self got boring so I took the game over to my brothers house that night and it totally changed. Several people there to play with.

Ended up returning it a two days later because its just not the right thing for my house, because I don't really have anyone to play it with. My brother is going to get it for his house so I will play it there.

If you have other people to play it with its a awesome game, otherwise it will grow old the same day as receiving it.

The drums are interesting, its kinda like playing real drums but then again its not like it at all. The songs leave things out, any note thats left out of the song I can tell and its a bummer. Plus the recoil on the pads is almost nothing compared to my acoustic set.

Nevertheless its still a great game for a group of people. I returned it to amazon for a full refund plus the $3.99 shipping I paid and they provided a pre-paid shipping label, I used the money to buy a new nice set of sennheiser headphones for drumming.

might buy just the drums and game if it drops down to like $80 total for both
 
too bad im a poor b@st@rd. I would love to have this game. Which do you prefer, ps3 version of 360. I get a bonus in about a month and can put it to good use on this.
