Well we had alot of nominations for worst game of 2007

lets put a vote to it...
 
I liked bioshock and have mass effect on order for my xbox, other than that I hated all the other ones. Crysis, ETQW and Hellgate are my biggest disapointments
 
probably should have left something off and put "other" on there. I know Mass Effect might be disappointing for some, but it's still a great game, and I don't think many people will say that it "sucks".

QFT, Gore/edwards would be the bees knees.

Why did you put crysis, UT3 and bioshock there? they were HIGHLY rated, if you call any of them disappointing you obviously don't know alot about games.

I voted for kane and lynch even tho I had no expectation of the game and I haven't played it, only games ive played up there weren't disappointing.

Edit, where the hell is SOF3, a game that actually deserves the hate.

in another thread similar to this is started... these were the games most chosen for the S.T.O.S list ( steaming pile of shit list) I didnt make this up myself...

and yes SOF3 deserves a spot on the list...but it didnt generate enuff hate in the other thread
 
List is a little lame. Sorry but most of those games can't really even be called WORST game. I mean...worst!!?? I mean I can see if you don't like Bioshock or Crysis or whatever...but as the worst game of the year?

Crysis and UT3 were flops in my eyes. Bioshock was fun, but not really worth 50 bucks :p
 
Hellgate London was the game I was most psyched about for over two years. Whatta letdown! I'm glad I never bought it. Sadly, I dropped $49 on BioSuck before realizing it's a close second to HG as worst game of 2007.
 
I don't think any of these games qualify as worst game of the year.


My vote goes to either Beowolf: The Game or Soldier of Fortune: Payback.

I'm a Republican usually but old Al Gore would look pretty damn great this year on the Democrat side compared to Hitlarry or Osama. :(

Back on topic. Hellgate London was one aweful P.O.S.

Lemmie guess, you like CoD4. A game developed for the console then begrudgingly ported to the pc, it feels exactly like 1 and 2, just new graphics, new "plot" and they sure did skimp on the SP. People say its for the MP, but I am not about the MP of most games, just CSS. And I have hated the fact that since cod2, their is no more health and health packs, which means you can sustain an almost infinite amount of damage if you time it right, you don't even have to bandage up to stop the bleeding. If crysis or bioshock is on this "list" so should CoD4.

UT3 was a letdown, but it wasn't in any way bad.

And crysis..... people had such absolutely unreasonably high expectations of the game, because of games like bioshock which had a great storyline, they expected the same from crysis, but its just a game designed around an engine, look at far-cry, same thing.

CoD4 was a big letdown, but very fun. I wish they would've expanded the missions instead of tossing you 9 different ones every 5 secs

Did Raven have anything to do with SOF3... i find it hard to believe they would allow one of PC's great gaming franchises to turn to shit like this with SOF3..... its a car wreck

I think the list is more geared toward games that really had alot of juice pre-launch...then came out and was shit

to me HELLGATE:LONDON is that game...its was painful for me to play
but it looks like KANE AND LYNCH is pulling away ...glad i stayed away from that

you know what i thought when i first played the UT3 demo... i was like ... is this the year 1999 and i have my Ati RAGE FURY MAXX card playing UT1.

I love demo's they really save me alot of money.

COD4 demo made me go out and buy it...although COD4 is getting a little bit of hate too... i liked it alot

UT3--- blah.... but not as blah as hellgate:london... WHO OK'd THAT PIECE OF SHIT
 
I voted Bioshock out of the ones on the list and here's why.

I picked up my Special Edition of Bioshock on release and was super excited to go home and play it since I had read wonderful reviews and previews for over a year. I was psyched for it more than any other game last year. I install it and can't do anything. I read on the forums that it doesn't support SM2. That wasn't on the box and my X850 Pro AGP card was superior in every way to the shitty PCI-E card from ATI listed as the minimum on the box. I uninstall because I don't feel like waiting for the hackers to release the fixes nor do I want to sit for 10 minutes between levels waiting for the game to load.

The patch took almost 4 months to release. Who the hell takes that long to release the first patch especially when there are tons of people with mostly the same problems running the game.

Even with these problems I hadn't given up on the game. I still really wanted to play it so when I got my notebook (sig) in late December I installed it. My first problem was it wouldn't launch past the 2k logo. Searched the 2K forums and found out it was trying to access some audio codec from Gom Player. Uninstalled Gom Player (my media player of choice) and it worked fine. I played it just fine up until I started getting crashes to the desktop every time I tried to save on the second level (Medical Pavilion). Searched the forums again and many others had the same problem and nothing fixed it. I tried everything others had tried and then some and it still happens. It is not my nor anyone else's machines fault. It is the shitty coding on what is supposed to be a great game. 2 years in a row 2K games has released a turd that I was unfortunate enough to have been excited about and then dissapointed in. (It was Star Trek: Legacy in 2006. )

I'm where I still want to play the game but I think I am just going to wait a year or so to try again since maybe the issues will have been resolved by then. In the meantime, I've just bought COD4 and it is getting the harddrive space Bioshock is under. The game burned me too much last year so it gets my pick as worst of the year since I actually paid for it unlike the other two below or others I knew would be crap like Jericho.

I tried UT3 demo and it was nothing new plus there were rumors of very few servers weeks after launch and I already spent all my online gaming playing TF2. Never picked up my reservation.

Hellgate : London I also tried the demo and hated it. It looked like shit and crashed like it was shit. Canceled my reservation.
 
Just finished the hellgate:london demo and man, what a piling heap of shit that was. I can't believe that was a retail game, it felt more like a poorly made half-life mod to me.
 
I have heard the BIOSHOCK install horror stories.....noone should have to go through all that nonsense just to install and play a game.

But since its not on the list I would have to vote for Bioshock.
 
CoD4 is. . . exactly like CoD2 and 3. Very mindless. It's the type of game my roommate loves, and he's the type who has played every single Dynasty Warriors game and every single game that even looks like dynasty warriors multiple times.

I agree about the whole Hellgate London sucking thing, though. Of course, I kind of expected that, because though I enjoyed Diablo, that gameplay gets old after a while.

Perhaps were the only ones that have played that pos. Is there something worse then =FAIL? If so, then SoF3 would be even worse then that!
 
There are far worse games out there than what's on this list. Even then...Jericho is an absolutely terrible game, if the demo is anything to go by. Also, it reviewed below a 5/10 average, I believe.

The expectations were out of this world but it wasn't a bad game at all - at least until you went into the Alien mothership or whatever the hell it was. You cannot possibly have played both Hellgate London and Crysis and say that Crysis was worse. :rolleyes:

Hellgate London was one steaming pile of crap.

Some reason: Alot of hype. Good at first until half way through the game where the part with the space ship came into play. Had to lower the setting on the graphic on the second half of the game.

The A.I. need to be fix. They are not very smart even on the hardest setting. The amount of bullet it takes to kill one person.

A few crashes throughout the game.

Overall it is a good game but i think it could have been alot better.
