I've heard that the Intel P35 chipset is decent when it comes to running 4 sticks of ram (4x1GB).

What about chipsets for the AMD AM2 platform? Are there particular chipsets that have little to no issues with running RAM in 4x1GB configuration (at least compared to other chipsets)?

Thanks!

I'd like to know this too as I am pondering a barcelona + 4 * 2GB as upgrades for my existing AM2 server.

as of right now all the am2 chipsets are old and rusty. RD790 is the next big thing, it has yet to be seen how it handles 4X 1 gb.

chipset doesn't matter. IMC ftw baby :D

my experiences with AM2 and 4x1gb have gone pretty well. just use 2T command rate and you shouldn't have a problem, even when overclocking past 500mhz. just tune the drive strengths as needed to get those extra mhz if you need em
