2 notebooks, Win98---->WinXP

Ok here is the scenario.

I have two notebook, one has WinXp the other Win98. The one I just bought has the Win98, the other one that's kinda broken has the WinXp. How do I go about installing WinXp on the other notebook? I don't have the Windows CDs.

He can do that, and the resulting mess would not even be worth it. New chipset install, etc. Yuck.

Read up on "sysprep", then decide whether you want to try swapping the drives. It certainly is possible to do that. It can end up quite messy or can go off with little issue, depending on how old the Xp install is, and how well you prepare for the swap. You almost certainly will have to reactivate.
