$280? Ain't that a tad expensive when they are supposed to sell for under $250?
 
Not to mention that they don't list all of the specifics, such as clock speeds, etc.
 
This one is running at default clock speeds - the model# was listed on newegg before the retractions.
 
You wouldn't happen to have all the Newegg info saved somewhere would you? They had quite a few listed there. :)

I don't like PNY's warranty, so I usually stay away from them. Have they changed from their one year warranty?

ok actually you are misinformed... their warranty is actually 3 years without product registration and 5 years once you register it (easy online app) which is fine because rarely will you own a video card for that long, also Ive owned several pny's and have never had a problem and neither have many others, third as you can see by my earlier post according to pricegrabber's 227 (vs resellerrattings 9) reviews their all time average is 3.82/5 which is pretty damn good

ok...easy...right...i've heard of so many users who hate PNY's warranty and customer service, but you're immune....which brings me to...

man do you not read before you post...your question was answered and you were wrong...they do not still have that one year warranty it is now a 5 year warranty (based on the ir present 8800 series cards) which is more than enough for a video card that will be outdated in a year.

I've got a three year old PNY 6800GT, which I still use in a backup rig and its still kicking it (knock on wood!). I still have a PNY GeForce 4400 that I think is still good but its collecting dust in my garage.

I've learned to take dire product warnings with a grain of salt. These forums are replete with GPU horror stories, but personally (again knock on wood) I can't remember the last time I had any problems with a GPU, except an old ATI 9800XT which started having fan issues, but it was past its prime and was replaced anyway. It was still working fine though when it was retired, just needed a new cooler.

For the most parts, video cards is video cards, and gaming card these days is about good for a year, 18 months, and then you try to sell it. That might be where a lesser liked brand like PNY might be an issue.
 
I'll throw my hat into the PNY hater's club.

My PNY Geforce 4600 died. I got an RMA sent it to them. And after a few weeks I called them, but got no answer and was forwarded to a voice mailbox that was full and hung up on. It took me 3 weeks to even speak to someone. I had thought the company went out of business or something.

They said they were busy. :rolleyes:

I finally got a new 4600 over 2 months later. I know it was a long time ago. But it was the last damn thing I ever bought from them.

EVGA gets my money now. Because I appreciated how they treated and communicated with me during that 7900GT fiasco.
