Mythos the Beta (Diablo Fans)

I've played all the "Diablo II"-esque games.

2moons plays more like Diablo II than Mythos or Dungeon Runners.

They also have events and things like double XP, world boss spawns, hide/seek, etc.

EDIT: I played Mythos for a couple months during close beta. Ewwwwwwww. The dungeon randomizer didn't help with the fun factor.

That is cartoony-anime-esque graphics. Vice city isn't cartoony...

2moons looks exactly like Cronos, except better graphics. I'll give it a shot, thanks.
 
got into the beta yesterday, it's like diablo 2's brother practically they're so alike. just a classic hack'n'slash with updated graphics, its very addicting if you're into the d2 kind of game.

Been playing for about 30 min so far (thanks Denki).

I really wish we could have full control over the camera or at least zoom out further than what it goes. The top down view just doesn't do it for me any more.

One other thing, the loading between zones suck. I guess I've been spoiled by WoW where there is virtually no loading screens outside of continent changes and instances.

Other than that, it seems like a 3D Diablo so far.

Right mouse button changes camera, hold and move mouse.

It's LIKE Diablo, but it's missing that "feel" that Diablo had. Namely the mass killing. My Knight can't take 3+ monster hitting him as he'll be stun locked. D1 and D2 you coudl wade in and beat ass all day. Loot is a lot like it but not sure I like every piece of armor being locked to a class.
 
Well having just played it for about the last 2 hours (Many thanks Denki) I have to say its the most fun game "demo" ive played of any other game lately (COD4,UT3,etc).

Its EXACTLY diablo 3 in 3d. Everything about the games is pretty much identical. And its damn fun. Going back to it now!

If I hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse they guy just says "I can't cast that here" and spins around.

this game is a blast :) it's too bad this game has no release date yet and probably won't be out til next year, it has more polish than hellgate does and thats coming out in a week. silly how these things work. i guess mythos just isn't done yet, apparently they just released act 2 to beta testers not too long ago. i'm only level 9 so far.
 
Did this game used to go by the name dungeon runners? They seem pretty similar.

dungeon runners is a similar concept by ArenaNet. I've played both, and even paid 5 bucks for the premium membership of Dungeon Runners. Mythos > DR. And honestly, DR isn't even worth playing w/o the premium membership.

Agreed. DR has the worst graphics I've seen in a game in a LONG LONG time, and the gameplay just... doesn't feel thought out too well.
 
I dunno.. Mythos is ok, but I am a little disappointed.. doesn't feel like Diablo and I don't like the graphics as much as I thought I would. hrm. need to play some more and see if I like it more..

Gonna have to check it out this weekend or later this week. Got a couple computers backlogged for work, working on wedding stuff, school GD can I get some time to myself:D.

Anyways, looking forward to trying it out.

Well after playing that for a bit, no, this isn't "Diablo 3". It doesn't feel like Diablo, it feels like every other Diablo clone out there.

My Diablo needs will never be satisfied. :(
 
Maybe someday....might not be until 2012, but someday, Blizzard will return to give us some more Diablo lovins.

Meh. The actual people who made diablo made this, so if this doesnt satisfy you its not likely anything will.

That's a stretch. It's made by Flagship Seattle, not the main team with the Diablo 2 guys that created Hellgate: London. Mythos was made to test the netcode for Hellgate, not to carry on the legacy of Diablo.
 
Actually I've come to the conclusion that the people who continue to make the truly great games still work for Blizzard. Maybe it's just the fact that I love every game Blizzard has released, or maybe there's some real legitimacy to it all. ;)
