Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 ClubIT Price: $295.00*

Amazing price, but how well do they OC? I don't wanna get one and find out that I can only push it 200MHz.
 
What is the reason for the massive price drop?:confused:

At the momment I dont really keep up to date on upcomming CPU tech.

Im just guessing: is it because they plan on releasing 1333mhz FSB quad core chips?

Or is there some other reason?
 
I have a feeling we should see alot of these sub 300 dollar q6600's this weekend,good stuff ;)

That and putting the screws to AMD, I guess.

The Q6600 is dropping to $266 in lots of 1000. That's going to be the same price as the E6850, so all of the Core2Duos will be available at under $300. The C2Qs are going to be more, with the Q6700 in at $530 in lots of $1000 and the other Qs at $999.
 
tried to order and say insufficient stock

update -- tried again and order went through
 
My Q6600 ran at 2.8GHz w/o any voltage changes. Another forum member has his running over 3GHz w/o much of a voltage bump. They're a hot proc though, so superior cooling is a must.
