What games have you regretted buying?

Oblivion...just stupid, graphics were ok but the game is stupid, there is no way I will ever even desire to finish it.

really? wow, I am running a heavily modded version right now and not only do I consider it the best looking game I have played, especially with the added texture packs, but I consider it one of the most fun games I have ever played.

So much hate for BF2...rather surprising, this is the first time I hear of it. I have BF2 Deluze Edition and it's given me zero problems. I love it :)

Does anyone remember star wars for n64? I remember it was like 75 bucks at launch and was one of the few initial release titles. I remember being amazed at the first level thinking it was an awesome game and totally worth it, then all of a sudden it warped from wrapping up AT AT fighters with a jet to some lame FPS, so dissapointing :(

Wow, I actually liked that game don't remember how far I got in it though as I just borrowed it from a friend.

Sonic for the Wii  Pathetic game. As far as PC games I have yet to buy one I really regret purchasing.. I was pretty unhappy with BF2 and still am as far as gameplay quality, it just didnt have the "fun" facor BF1942's DC mod did. The one I really did not like was the Ghost Recon serries. Played GR for 5 minutes before it was removed. I loved R6 and the 3 that followed it, played them for hours on end on dial up online etc. Loved them, but GR just couldnt keep up I though. I got so pissed off at the stupid aim box going to full screen size when I am walking with a pistol :\

o Vanguard--I'm a patsy for MMORPGs.
o EQ 2--see above--they both sucked IMO v. WoW.
o Gears of War--shooters aren't meant for gamepads.
o Viva Pinata--way over-hyped. Never understood the point.
o Gothic 3--too much work to play through the bugs.
o SiN Episode 1--HL2 in different clothes. Lazy-a$$ design.

I'll agree with you on EQ2, Viva Pinata and SiN.

On top of that, a few others I regret are Dungeon Siege 2, Red Orchestra, Battlefield Vietnam, and Battlefield 2: Special Forces.

Shadows of the Empire?? I loved that game! :(

AT-AT walkers are walkers, not fighters, and the Rebel Snow Speeder (T-47 Combat Speeder) is not a jet. It uses something called a repulsor life as it's main form of propulsion.

God doesn't everyone know these things? :D

I KNEW!!! someone would have to say something like this

i was that way back in like 6th grade. everyone would be getting tie fighters and tie interceptors confused and i would proceed to pause the movie and go on a complete tirade about "how could anyone be this stupid??? they dont even use the same turbolaser model!!!!!!"

I'm a freaking geek, I couldn't help it.

I am not ashamed.

on a forum such as this, you have absolutely no reason to be. i would leave the authentic darth maul double-bladed lightsaber at home for dates though.

For me it's Oni and Unreal 2. Both I bought when they hit the Target sale rack for under $10, Oni had much promise back then, being all anime-inspired and from Bungie and all, shame that the controls sucked and it had pretty bad level design, and was freakin difficult too.

Unreal 2 was just 'meh', really average generic shooter-crap, and the ending was lame. This and Oni did have an Ok sense of atmosphere though. I still have these two boxed up, anyone interested ? ;)

Oni was crap and I thought Unreal II was pretty good.

I'll second that...except it was given to me as a gift, I didn't actually buy it lol

A new one for me is nights 2. Not because the game was terrible (I kind of liked it) its just that the ending just killed any replay value this game may have had for me.

If you want replay value in NWN2 head on over to the vault (nwvault.ign.com) and download some free community made modules. I just played through the remake of The Keep on the Borderlands this weekend and it was a blast. The community made content is where this game (and its predecessor) really shine. They even have a handy rating system to sort through the less than stellar stuff. Don't give up on the game before trying out some of the really great content available.

STALKER. I gave it a chance, and I'm just bored with the game play. I'm very glad it was finally released and that others are enjoying it, but its just not for me.

lol
Oni

I remember saving forever for my PS2, and I paid full price for the PS2 version of Oni simply because it was the only game for PS2....it suxored more then anything has suxored before.

beyond the beyond sucked ass too. I bought a ps2 with my 15 year old scrapings and I loved RPG's to death and I waited so impatiently for the first PS1 RPG to come out and when it did it was a piece of garbage and cost me 54.99 of my hard earned teenage dollars.

Really? I thought that was one of the better games that has come out in the last few years.
Yeah I just felt exactly like HL1. I only had real fun at the end of the game. It took me like 3 months to beat the game cause I could only play like 5 mins at a time. The end was really fun though. That huge ass facility was amazing.
