I have an asus p5n32-e sli plus with e6400 and 2gb of ocz ram, I tried powering it up on my test bench using the silverstone st75f the power supply would turn on for about 2-3 seconds then shutdown. The st75f works perfectly in my amd opeteron machine. I tried powering up the p5n32 with my old trusty antec 400w and it works just fine.
Anybody got any ideas? the motherboard is just sitting on my desk there is nothing else hooked up except for processor memory and asus 6200 pcie graphic card.

I have this exact problem with the eVGA 680i and the three Silverstone PSUs from the Strider family. I replaced the PSU with a PC Power & Cooling unit and everything worked perfectly after that. All three of the PSUs I tried worked fine in other systems and that lead to me switching out the motherboard at least once before I discovered that those PSUs simply didn't like the eVGA 680i.

check the connections.
Did you plug in the extra 4/8 pin motherboard connector?

Yup its plugged in, i tried both and no go with either 8pin eps12 or regular 4pin 12v.

I guess I'll rip my file server apart and swap its corsair psu for this strider.
