Are you playing any "old school" games?

The longest Journey (PC)
Tomcat Alley (Sega CD)
Mansion of Hidden Souls (Sega CD)
Kolibri (32x)
Ghouls 'n Ghosts (Genesis)

Falcon 4.0
Descent 3
Freespace + 2
Fallout 2
AvP2

within the past 4 months or so.. dont have much time anyone. they just dont make games that can recreate the same feelings anymore.

Been playing warcraft 3 since it came out. It's still a great game with the custom stuff people make online.

MIcrosofts dungeon siege... oh yeah... beat that in about oh, 13 hours about a week ago. I dont know many people who didnt get bored with that game. its a real prick!

Been hooked on Icewind Dale lately.

Icewind Dale had THE BEST ENDING of any game I have ever played. I won't say anymore than that.

Even though BG is now 9 years old I can to this day still load it up and enjoy playing it. Come to thing of it, any of the old infinity engine games are still awesome to play.

I've been playing System Shock for the first time. :)

For an old game, it really sucks you in. It's been absolutely great so far, and I'm loving every moment of it. Heck, I've even set aside God of War 2 for the time being because I'm really enjoying this game.

I've also got System Shock 2 which I'll be playing as soon as I'm done with the first part.

welcome to the club. enjoy the ride on this one :D

I tried installing Decent3, but cd one had a real deep nick in it and it froze on d3.hog. So that was out..

ryan, pm me. Descent 3, Descent 2, Descent 1 and D1X were the only games I used to play. I can help you out in getting your disc problem fixed... :)

Oh and as for me... the following games I've played many, many times.

Dues Ex
Descent 1, 2, 3, D1X (with a 3DPro... try finding one of those nowadays)
Half Life

I must say, Deus Ex is one of my favorite games to play. I have played the game about 5 or 6 times... I do not get tired of it. The storyline is awesome... I was immersed. Are there any other games out there like this one? I haven't played many games except for the ones mentioned above.

I've looked for System Shock 1 & 2 but can't find them anywhere. :(

It's the height of irony that I've invested $1700 in a top-flight desktop, but find myself playing and enjoying games that could run on integrated graphics. :p

This is my first time playing it. I'm on Chapter 4. Its so much better than I was expecting. I think its better than Diablo 2 or any of the Elder Scrolls games... Ive just been really enjoying it a lot. Great artwork, really fun tactical roleplaying, cool story, very challenging. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.

Currently playing/getting around to playing:
Fallout
Fallout 2
Baldurs Gate
Baldurs Gate 2
Freespace
Planescape: Torment
Homeworld
System Shock

Played through System Shock 2, The longest Journey, Blade Runner and some other old games not that long ago.

Would be playing C&C Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert again but it just seems to randomly crash ever since SP1 on XP.

I thinking to get Halo for PC

Never played it on PC...it would be great

I'm playing through Diablo 1 again.

I know the quests are random....but I mean I haven't gotten the Butcher quest or King Leoric!

Boooo

Well I'm trying to get my retro rig working for Worms Armageddon, Max Payne, SS 2nd encounter and something else if I find.

I played Diablo 2 + LOD expansion, over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. I still had my old saved characters stored on DVD and it was a blast bringing them back to life. I went through all of the Normal and Hell quests and got to the 4th of 6th quests in Nightmare before taking a break. I still haven't gone back to finish.

Pfffft - I have a sempron 2800+, 512 MB 2100 RAM, a 250W PSU and I have a motherboard in which it all sits on my floor. :D

P.S. - even though I have killer specs it does not seem to POST...? hmmm

Syndicate

After 15 years, the game is still fun.

Most definitely, Syndicate is one of my all-time favorites.

I wish the old Bullfrog team were still around to give us great games. I also miss the Magic Carpet games, those were a blast and very different.

Not really an old game, I'm currently playing Shambler's castle which is a Doom 3 Quake 1 inspired mod

If Thief qualifies as "old school", then yes.

I'm attempting to "Supreme Ghost" each mission. Very difficult (and mostly pointless).

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (the cd version with the voice acting). I still play it once or twice a year, its just that awesome.

Point+click adventures for life. :D

This past weekend I fired up Bioforge and Crusader:No Remorse/No Regret in DOSBox and a few Infocom text games using WinFrotz.

I've started playing Diablo again. I've never gotten around to finishing it. Unfortunately, even though it's worked flawlessly on XP in the past, now it tends to crash in the town. :(

I"ve been hankering to play that again. If you want to play sometime message me.

Yeah I would have loved to see another Theme Park game :(.
