Hey Swingman, when did you order yours? Was it new or a refurb and where did it ship from? I have 2 in transit, keeping my fingers crossed. I don't think I'll have enough time for another exchange so this one has got to be it. I guess I could just do a complete return and get my money back, then start it all over again! Ughh... shudder to think....
I have to have an s-ips though, mva's screw with my eyes, I see color diff from one to the other so the whole shifting issue gives me a headache. Maybe I'm cursed to live out the rest of my life looking at a crt... and not being having any desk space!

i just read (and made a seperate thread about it) that they are indeed coming out with an '08' series of monitors (someone here said they were going to wait until 09), so when do you all think the 2008wfp is coming and do you think dell, now having a doable out of their lottery issues (i think that they genuinely cant control it at this point with this line) will learn their lesson and use only one panel in it?

In case anyone wants a guaranteed S-IPS the the NEC 20WMGX2 is @ Newegg for $519 USD after rebate (50). I bought one after Dell scorched my buttisimo with 2 PVA's, and have never been happier with a computer item.

I am about to play the Dell lottery, but the last few reports aren't good. I'd like to see one more positive before I pull the trigger. Anyone getting one in soon?
Im getting my Dell 2007WFP tomorrow and I don't think ill be mad what I get if its a nice upgrade from my Dell 1907FP ill be happy.

Haha, yes I would have. And try to figure out a way to seal the others so that they look unopened.
WOOO !!!!!!! i got an RT803 !!!!!!!! Its made in Mexico also. if you want to know where fo sure youll get one I got mine off ebay froma guy 1hr away and he got them about a week ago. He has 6 left at only $309 + $39 for shipping and you cant ask him to send you one that says made in mexico just to be sure, but it ends in 20hrs.
Be sure and let us know how it goes.
Anyone know if Dell/DHL tends to leave stuff at your door if no one is there to receive it? This would be in a surburban neighborhood. UPS/FedEx tend to leave computer equipment on my door all the time....with this LCD coming I am kind of weary of it just sitting there all day (and I also kind of dread having to go pick it up somewhere). Just want to know what to expect. thanks

Well I have decided to try one last exchange. I really want an S-IPS panel. The more I use this MVA, more I am just not happy with it.
Just thought I would let everyone know, I placed an order last week for two 2007wfp's from the outlet, paid 514 total for both including shipping and tax. Got them today, one is an A03 with 12 hours on it and the other is an A04 with 300 hours --- both are rt803s and zero dead/stuck pixels....
PVA. Not surprising, most of these have been PVA.
People need to realize that most people can't even tell the difference using PVA vs S-IPS.
In my case, PVA gives me a headache from the gamma shift, but this is rare. If you get a pva and it works fine for you, why bother exchanging it.
you gota refurb? not new? is it a way to know?
is it by the hours on the service menu ? if you can say it is refurb?
l live in Canada and want to order from Dell Canada ..sure it will not coming from Texas
any body out there have a clue what rev. some have receive from Dell Canada

as far as refurbs go, its the same lotto that you play with the new ones.

wow that deal isn't half bad, still though, if i could get a garunteed IPS dell i'd still go with it.....too bad i cannot.....and there still isn't one monitor out there that doesnt have some lame deal breaker (even the NEC, if it was matte and cheaper, and it could probably be if they'd release the non-m version in the US, i dont need all the extra features anyway, it would have been a shoe in though).
